Default Richard Wolff, Gar Alperovitz

What is your general opinion about the work of Professor Richard Wolff, and Proff. Gar Alperovitz? The former is how I came to Marxism.. the latter is how I came to understand the concept of the 'wealth creators'. The former is head of the democracy collaborative and Democracy At Work, while the latter is head of The New Economics Institute. Wolff has a regular monthly economic update essentially from a marxian perspective that is very much 'real talk'.. filters out corporate B.S. and Keynsian economists like friedman et al.

How much is their work making a difference, how do you compare them to Zinn and Chomsky?
The revolution will move forward until its consolidation is total. The time is still far off when there can be a period of relative calm. And life is always revolution. - Antonio Gramsci

"One group of people was appalled at how slaves were treated; they demanded that slaves be treated better. The second group was horrified by the first, insisting that the fundamental problem was that there were slaves at all! The solution was not to make slaves better off, because so long as the slave was a slave, the master had the control to take back whatever the slave can win in the way of better conditions. The issue is slavery itself; no person can be the property of another."

Wolff helped me learn the basics of Marxism. He's probably the most prominent Marxist economist in the United States. I recommend him too my friends often. As far as the latter, I don't know much about him, but I'll certainly look into his work. I prefer Wolff to Chomsky because I feel that he explains things much clearer to a layman such as myself and definitely has more energy. I'm not sure I can make a clear connection to him and Zinn other than that Zinn was more focused on politics and Wolff on economics.
