Communist University - Did primitive communism really exist?

I was just skimming through some of the CPGB archives and found this. Its a very interesting talk by Mr. Lionel Sims that touches upon anthropology, a mode of production's relation with social culture, the oppression of women and the development of myth by material condition.
I really liked when he was talking about the alternative to pastorialism spawned from primitive communism that degenerated their society into tiny, highly mobile groups to overcome scarcity. Rings a little true to something closer to our times.
