Here's a smoky toast to both Neil Armstrong himself, and to the sweat and toil of all the men and women whose physical and intellectual efforts were instrumental in achieving one of the human species' nobler efforts. Even if the Soviets were unable to join the US in landing humans on the Moon, without their efforts there would have never been an Apollo project.
Rest in peace Neil Armstrong, and may your first steps on the Moon be the first among many billions more!![]()
