Default David Cameron to urge debate on welfare pay-outs

David Cameron is set to call for a wider debate about welfare, arguing the current system promotes a "something for nothing" culture of entitlement.
In a speech in Kent, the prime minister will say that many of his ideas for change are for the next Conservative manifesto not the coalition government.
One of the ideas he is considering is removing housing benefit for under-25s.
Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Liam Byrne described Mr Cameron's ideas for change as "hazy and half-baked".
Mr Cameron's speech is being seen as an attempt to reconnect with disgruntled Tory backbenchers who have accused him of allowing the Liberal Democrats to water down traditional party values.
But the Lib Dems point out the coalition has already brought in sweeping changes to welfare which "need time to bed in" and warned against "repeating the mistakes of the 1980s".

As if food and shelter were entitlements.

Exactly. 'Something for nothing culture'...sounds reasonable enough, especially when it comes to food, water and shelter. Also quite rich coming from a PM with a very privelaged background and upbringing.

something for nothing , i think the middle class and workers are the one paying this taxes . it happens they get some of it back through out welfare , while the rest is transferred through out corporate welfare ( = Subsidies , economic stimulation )

Cameron says he is doing this to stop working people having to resent unemployed young people. Not one working person wanted banks bailed out but they still ploughed ahead with it. Funny that. The real reason is Cameron and shits like him resent a single penny going to people that aren't rich.

Wow, no shit. I don't really think there's much you can do about that in a last resort coalition...
