U.S. eyes return to the moon
Monday, December 8, 2003 Posted: 4:02 PM EST (2102 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- It has been 31 years since a U.S. astronaut last walked on the moon, but China's space ambitions have signaled a possible American return to the lunar surface as part of a renewed space program.

Aides to U.S. President George W. Bush say he is on the verge of calling for a return to the moon as part of a dramatic new mission for NASA.

Sources tell CNN the target for returning to the moon is about 15 years from now. But a lunar date is not yet embraced by a White House still debating key policy and multibillion dollar budget questions.

It remains to be seen if any of the plans actually lift off or if China and the United States embark on some form of a "space race". But on the table of American ideas is a permanent presence on the moon and even a manned mission to Mars.

Hehehe, im going to college next year for a Ph.D in physics, anyone can get past any radiation, no matter how strong it may be. There are 3 types of radiation, alpha, beta, and gamma. Alpha radiation can be stopped by a sheet of paper, beta radiation can be stopped by perhaps a thin sheet of metal, and stopping gamma radiation requires the equivilant of around 0.5 cm of lead. (I'm not too sure on the exact numbers, this is off the top of my head) All three result for nuclear decay, and I doubt outer space is very radioactive, since most radioactive isotopes have a half-life of >1000 years, and 90% of whats out there is hydrogen anyways. Any radioactive particles floating in space would have long decayed into stable elements. Im not sure on this one, but I think the USSR sent unmanned probes to the moon prior to an American one, and sticking a man on the moon isnt too much more difficult, except for the fact that instead of a payload of scientific instruments, there is instead a payload of a crew and a their things necessary for life. The only thing I am bamboozed about is why is it going to take 15 YEARS to make another trip to the moon?! 15 years is greater then the amount of time from the space program to start from dirt, till it sent a man to the moon. Ah, the amount of ambition is dizzying! Now, a manned probe to the Mars, will be in......250 years....if we feel like it! Lets go! Woohoo! Lol, I think China could have a permanent moon base in less then 3 years if they really put their mind to it. Space programs today are plagued with ineffiencies, everything is computerized and automated and there are more useless features on those things then you could imagine. Even though the majority of it is for safety, I'm sure there is a lot that can be cut back, granted if you are going to die on one of these things, it will almost definately be from some catastophic engine failure or structural damage, that no amount of computers, alarms, and flashing lights can prevent.

Are there still people who think they can fly to the Moon? What planet have you been living on for the past 30 years. If you had been paying any attention to the real world you may have noticed not only can those clowns at NASA not fly to the Moon they cant even do simple things without screwing up majorly. Do you have any idea what real spaceflight is like? The only people who believe in the Man on the Moon are people who have never been to the Moon. If they can make you believe in such nonsense they can make you believe in anything. GET A LIFE! it was only a TV show.

I live in Florida, I've been to a space shuttle launch, I've seen the people go in, up, and away. You cannot deny the existance of the space program.

Actually, the conspiracy goes much deeper than even most conspiracy theorists realize. Before 1969, there wasnt ever even a moon. Law enforcement officials had been pushing the government to put a gigantic light up in outer space that would shine down and light up the night, and help prevent crime.

What was put into outer space was not just an ordinary light, but a brainwashing device that was invented years earlier in NAZI Germany. Unfortunately it only had the power to be at full capacity once a month. (Which is why the moon has phases.)

This brainwashing light was intended to make people docile and prevent them from acts of violence (Like Clockwork Orange.) But the first task it had was to convince people that there had always been a moon. Some people however still remembered it being put up into space, despite the brainwashing, so the moon landing was staged to prove that it was really a moon.

The major setback occurred however when they found out that since the brainwashing affects people only when they dream, Marijuana smokers were immune to the affects because smoking pot keeps them from dreaming. Thats why the whole war on drugs was started.

One of the early experiments of the brainwashing light (or MOON) was to convince people that the world was really round, when in fact it was flat. Another was to convince people that the sky was blue and the grass was green, when the opposite is really true.

Oh. And if you believe all that, I'm looking for someone to buy the Brooklin bridge off me.

My guess is that if the U$ wants to go back to the moon, then it will be for the purpose of putting up some kind of defense weapon, or spy station.

The U$ gov't just isn't into funding scientific research anymore.

If you cant fly to the Moon then the Moon mustnt exist! I can understand how you feel. The only Moon you know about is the one you saw on TV, wheras the real Moon lies beyond your comprehension.

The Us has never been to the moon, or atleast that my opinion. After reviewing much evidence for both sides and being as unbiased as I could, there was just too much conclusive proof that the Us had never been to the moon. Many images have hard evidence that the US has never been to the moon. Why else would it take 15 years to get program up and running? They've already got the tools...they're just afraid to use them...

Check out the picture about half way down the page, it is a fluttering flag...but remember we are supposedly in space where there is no atmosphere, therefore no wind...

Enjoy!

the moonlanding

the guy who gives answers(further down on the page)he says like this:

3. "One NASA picture from Apollo 11 is looking up at Neil Armstrong
about to take his giant step for mankind. The photographer must have
been lying on the planet surface. If Armstrong was the first man on the
Moon, then who took the shot?"
You really ought to learn more about the missions before you start
attacking them like this. There was an arm attached to the lander that
was deployed just before Neil Armstrong opened the hatch. This arm had
a television and a still camera mounted to it.

he says that, when you see pics of Armstrong and Aldrin, when they are on the moon and so on,"the thing" who took the shots, was always a camera mouted to a arm.....Can somebody give me a pic of this "arm"?i havent found any pics,on the moonlander

btw nice sites, very much information, and theories

Very good links you all posted here

I have doubts concerning the "man on the moon"...this could have been easily done on a studio. Those pictures are interesting, especially the one of the crosshair. The white thing is clearly over the crosshair, how can that be possible?? And why arent there any stars??? That doesnt make sense...

I found this very interesting (from one of those sites):

Apollo 14 astronaut Allen Shepard played golf on the Moon. In front of a worldwide TV audience, Mission Control teased him about slicing the ball to the right. Yet a slice is caused by uneven air flow over the ball. The Moon has no atmosphere and no air.

You wont discover the truth about Space travel by studying minute details of these photos. How about studying real Space travel, have you noticed that there is absolutely no connection between the Moon landings and their real Space program. Have you noticed how they spend half their time on maintenance and the other half fixing things. Have you noticed how close they stick to mother Earth. Have you noticed how incompetant NASA is. Have you noticed that the Russians have won the Space Race. Have you noticed that they are using the same craft to do the same missions they were 30 years ago. The real world doesn't fade away into nothingness, but the fantasies of PBIs do. Try thinking about the real world more and ignore all the lies your master feeds you about far away places you will never go to. The advantage of realizing that the Moon landings were fake is that it explains the real world that we are living in right now. Real History leads to the present, bogus history is designed to obscure the real World.
