    Exclamation Neonazism.... in Poland?!

I've seen a few news stories and articles about Neonazism and racism taking hold in Poland, and I'm perplexed - I mean, the Nazis terrorized and enslaved the Poles like no other nation on earth, and yet there are Polish nationalists who subscribe to this ideology. Don't people know their history? Anyway, I was just wondering what the deal is, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Tell me about it I'm polish and based on my personal experience I can say that it is pretty dodgy. I've never met so much hostility towards communism anywhere else. Well, unfortunately the way the polish people see communism is mainly the "stalinist way". Hard to blame them for trying to keep away from it. A bit more awareness wouldn't hurt anyone.

Yeah it's pretty dumb, I remember Ross Kemp did a program on Polish Neo-Nazi's, he asked one of them what his view was on the fact that Poland was home to so many concentration camps during the war and his answer was "they should have built more of them"

Nazism has been popular in all Slavic countries, including Poland, since the "fall of the iron curtain".

I know it makes no sense, but most things about nazis don't.

Actually it does make sense. The Nazis are using the history of the Polish bourgeois state to try and lure people with the old "Horrible, vile Eastern hordes of Volga will slaughter us if we don't stay as a united nation!" and the "Germans will destroy us like they did in the past if we don't stand as one" . It's called scare tactics, and it's really effective. Because,it's quite easy to lure people with imaginary 'Evil people who want to take your jobs/lives'. The same thing is going on in the Balkans, where Nazis are strong despite the history of Anti-Fascism in the Balkans and the horrible crimes of the Nazi scum in WWII, yet many people turn to it because of: "Evil Serbs/Croats/Albanians/Bosnians/Hungarians/etc etc."

stopped wondering about its lack of sense long ago. Militant anti-fascism is the only answer.

Ï think a better question would have been: “What do you think of what the Nazis did to native Poles (people like yourself), how they enslaved, massacred, and brutalized them? And how, if the Nazis were running your country, people such as yourself would probably end up in a camp, doing forced labour for the Germans, or with a bullet in the head. What’s your opinion on that?”

Then again, he’d probably reply that it’s all lies and propaganda, and that life under the Nazis was actually good :/

Actually, the Nazis have a tendency to be flexible about who is the true pure "aryan" so it all works out for them - the position of some of these Polish Nazis, from what I've seen them spew on Youtube comments and such shit (not a good source, I know, but still) is that the Polish nation is an exceptional bright and pure aryan nation, and that the Germans are actually "polluted" and "non-aryan". This position is not unique to the Polish Nazi-types, and occur in many Nazi groups in what German Nazism would have considered "inferior" countries, out of a necessity of coming to terms with the inherent contradiction inherent in the German expansionism and racism and their own adherence to this ideology.

I'm not sure if the Polish Nazis are related at all to Christian Identity theology but in it says slavs are white and are apart of the superior race

Catholic ultra-nationalism is currently very strong amongst Polish fash and growing in popularity, as it allows to present more"patriotic" image to the public. That of course doesn't stop them from going on the same actions with proper BH nazis...

These people aren't really nazi's, most of them are racist petty thugs who thinks the swastika looks badass.

Just like wearing a che t-shirt doesn't make you a communist, teenagers who draw swastikas don't have to be nazi's.

Well what's the use in differentiating the two? I mean their label doesn't change how they should be viewed or dealt with

[FONT=Arial Narrow]"Body tissue deprived of life energy turns cancerous. Cancer is the hysteria of cells condemned to death. Cancer and fascism are closely related. Fascism is the frenzy of sexual cripples. The swastika owes its magnetism to being a symbol of two bodies locked in genital embrace. It all stems from a longing for love.
