Default june 2, big nazi demo in hamburg germany

On June 2, 2012 Nazis from all over Germany want to march through the city centre of Hamburg. They have the "Day of the german future - our message against foreign infiltration" as its motto.
After the last try of the fascists to march on May 1st 2008, where they had to encounter massive and broad resistance in Hamburg, they now, after more than four years, venture a new warm-up. That such an attempt will not run without our resistance, is for sure: We will resolutely confront the Nazis and attack their racial propaganda by every means and on every level.

No "Day of the german future?"

Since 2009 the Nazis organize the "Day of the german future" every year in June. Officially declared from the "Initiative future instead of foreign infiltration", a nationwide structure of "Free Nationalists" and "NPD (Nationalist Party of Germany) - fellow traveler" from the northern part of Germany.

We will turn the demonstration of the Nazis on June 2, 2012 in Hamburg into a fiasco!

We call all the people to take part in the protests and resistance by their means!

We express our solidarity to everybody who shares with us the goal: Block the demonstration!

No future for Nazis! Attack the racist order!

some updates: 1000 fascists are expected. their route through the inner city is forbidden, they will try to march in the wandsbek quarter, which the court has allowed them. 15.000 antifascists are exoected to come, the police say that 3000 of them will be ready for violence.

on the following side you will find a map with the route of the nazis as well as the legal starting points for antifascists, as pdf : http://www.keine-stimme-den-nazis.org/

if someone will come to hamburg, be careful on the trains and highways, prepare well for what could be expected there, and be aware of the fact that nazis in germany often look like leftists.

fascism is not banned in germany, just certain aspects like holocaust denial, swastika etc.
formally it is banned to call for the overthrow of the existing "democratic" order in general, but racist propaganda etc is possible. by the way the nazis in germany are financed and so on by the state so you can imagine how things run ...

A crew of us attended a hamburg demo few years ago , we mobbed up with a very good firm of locals with the intention of not going to the legal demo point as the amount of pigs with heavy shit like water cannon and vehicles for pushing aside barricades is massive .If you want serious action with the nazis best bet is stay off the main demo and keep moving around transit system/back streets in fairly small mob [ keep safe though ] and keep your eyes peeled , interesting point made before about German nazis , we came across group on train who the locals thought were on our side , if it wasn't for one of the Brits spotting a No remorse t shirt they would have escaped unscathed....very unfotunate T shirt choice led to them being thrown off a moving train at speed ,There were numerous oppertunities to engage all day.If confronting the police is what you want go on the demo , German stassi are good at keeping the sides apart...Good luck in Hamburg and keep safe

As far as I can gather from Twitter the nazi demo never left their meetingpoint thanks to thousands of people blockading, some militant with burning barricades. The nazis scattered on the train system and are now on several stations under direct attack... good work!

    http://www.rt.com/news/hamburg-clash...neo-nazis-853/

A group of anti-Nazi demonstrators have clashed with far-right activists marching in the city's Wandsbek district. The leftists erected barricades of trash bins and set them ablaze to stop their rivals from passing
I want to see who is a winner, no place for nazis..

the nazis could not go their legal route, because of barricades, blocades etc.
the nazis had to march the other way, but they were blocked there also very soon. so in the end they only walked to the next subway station.

When the nazis came into Hamburg 3 of their busses got attacked and all the windows where shatterd. 4 nazis trying to get to the rallypoint got beaten up.

Further they mostly got attacked by projectiles during the demonstration. The nazis tried to break out once or twice and got beaten up by the cops while beeing hit by objects thrown by antifascists. Besides beeing thrown at with objects, the nazi demo got attacked several times by mobs of antifascists, during those moments the nazis didn't really knew what to do, they just stood there and let the police handel it. They are not used to see antifascists that close during demonstrations.

During the day (mostly in the morning) around 700 antifascists got arrested, most of them where free the same evening, 17 got detained.

They cops didn't really got their act together, they where mainly following the trail of the rioters instead of taking control. They couldn't get us of the route and even if they could all the roads where filled with the smoking remains of burned trashcontainers. (the stench was awfull!) They had to reroute the whole demonstration. Downside of the cops not having their shit togeter was the fact that they used pretty extreme methods to clear the streets, even the nazis thank the cops for that on their own forums.

Worst news of the day: a group of Antifa who where travelling back to their hometown got attacked on a trainstation by a group of 200 nazis leaving 15 heavily injured antifa.

No victory is without casualties but that doesn't mean that we should take those for granted. Personally I wished I could've been there to help them out, even if it wouldn't make any difference and I would be one of the injured.

Sounds like quite a success, but it also depends what will be the charges against those 17 detained and whether they will get custodial sentences or not. Bad news about Antifas getting jumped on the way back, but this is just the nature of struggle unfortunately. Maybe they were inexperienced, maybe it was just bad luck. How heavily injured are we talking about?

I don't really know how bad they where injured. All I red on de.indymedia.org was that 15 people got heavily injured.

Some images from the attacking nazis:

Makes you wonder if the cops deliberatly didn't pull their act together... Because now they've got something to gain.
