    Default Local Elections - Depressing

Despite how little faith I have in the current democratic process, I still want to vote in elections (local, national, referendums) for any candidate or issue that comes close to representing my own views.
Looked up the candidates standing in my local election ward...Labour and a local party. Two. Compounded by the fact that the whole area is a Labour heartland, one of the safest Labour seats in the country...
    Just depressing that's all

It sounds like you have too much faith in the current process. I would suggest reading more and paying less attention to elections.

Yep. That pretty much covers it. Bollocks as usual, from the 'representatives of the people'. If I can be arsed casting my vote, it will be only to spoil the ballot paper, and emblazon it with 'vote of no confidence'.
