The original Texts from Hillary meme featured the photograph of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton casually texting an unknown individual. Internet users edited the photograph and added captions, giving her the appearance of texting childish sentences to strangers. For example, Hillary texts in one version, "ROFL @ ur tumblr! g2g - scrunchie time. ttyl?..."
The speed with which this meme captured the web was fascinating, and it even led to the Secretary of State meeting with its creators, who unfortunately called it quits a few days ago.
Nonetheless, memes never end, and Hillary's detractors have found a creative way to counter her new fame.
Meet "Texts from Predator Drone," the libertarian answer to Democratic stardom. The Tumblr account has only posted three images so far, but it is already gaining traction in the internet community.
Antiwar activists have criticized the Obama administration for participating in wild drone strikes in places like Pakistan, Libya, and Yemen that have left countless innocent civiliians dead. The administration's killing of Anwar al-Awlaki's son and other teenagers has also been harshly criticized, and this meme pulls no punches in terms of political correctness.
