Huh? What if you WANT kids?

Firstly im a straight guy. I am not in the least bit interested in transgender people, nothing against them but they don't do it for me. But if I were a person interested in both transwomen and women in general - and I wanted to build a family it would be my own choice to choose my priorities. I cant see a problem with that. The suggestion that one is being transphobic for this reason is ridiculous in my opinion.

Like choosing abortion or choosing to get a sex change, people should always be entitled to their choices in life.

So you all three do not refuse to date transwomen on the basis that they are unattractive, but on the basis that she was born, arbitrarily, a male. This is the essence of transphobia.

It is not a question of taste or preference as both women are equally attractive.
Yeah, it's not fair, and it's not logical for me to not wish to date one. I just couldn't get past the fact that at point she had, or currently has, a penis. Is it logical? Nope. Is it fair? Nope. But hey, is my preferring women with what I deem to be a nice buttocks over ones without one logical? Nope. It's just not something I fancy. Call me transphobic, call me reactionary, etc., whatever you wish.

You again, you little transphobe? Well, you don't seem like you'd ever learn...

Pretty sure this is the girl who got kicked out of Ms Universe for being a transwoman. I mean she's absolutely gorgeous, yet was born male.

Like I had said a while back in this thread, my main concern at this point on dating a transwoman would be society's reaction. Let's face it, people are assholes and openly dating a trans person might expose me to ridicule by bigots.

I had sex with one once (she was gorgeous, I didn't actually know she was trans until the moment of truth...), and I surprisingly liked it very much. But dating? Maybe in a better, more tolerant world, or in a distant future.

If you were gay, would you date or marry someone of the opposite sex for show? Even if you loved someone of the same sex more? (hypothetical) "The world" is progressing, albeit at a snail's pace. Better to live as you will than to hide for the sake of reputation and some reactionaries' comfort. That is, unless you have reason to seriously fear for your life....

Yep. Damn me, having different sexual preferences than my other comrades! It doesn't matter whether or not I think transgendered people should have equal rights or whether I hate or dislike them, the fact that I wouldn't date one means that I am scared shitless and hate them. Wait, nevermind, that makes no sense.

I guess if I was really into her, I'd probably say 'fuck it' and date her openly, but I don't know until the situation presents itself.
