Farmers worried about security as smoking companies produce less
It doesn't get any closer to home than this.
We need farmer's unions and smaller, union-owned smoke companies if these good people are going to stay employed. Either that, or they need to legalize marijuana as quickly as possible so that these farmers can grow hemp/ganja where tobacco once grew.
You have to remember the problem throughout history- Farmers are not skilled laborers. They know how to farm very well, but if they lose that, than the whole economy dies.
