Cuban scientists have given details of a new vaccine against a bacterium which causes meningitis and pneumonia.
It is made using a novel synthetic technology, and the scientists hope it will be cheaper than existing vaccines against Haemophilus influenzae or Hib.
But doubts remain over how effective it is and how much it will cost.
Hib is certainly an important bug - the World Health Organisation estimates it kills between 5-700,000 children each year from pneumonia and meningitis.

on some points it does, on others it sucks
they have great doctors, free medical care, etc. but, they don't have the materials to put this in practice
f.e. someone i have contact with from an aid-cuba organisation went to a hospital in cuba asking how many stethoscopes they had, they said, we have 20 doctos and 0 stetoscopes, at these points their medical system is crap
thats why i'm sendig a stethoscope :P

For years that at the UN the majority of the represented countries want to take the economic embargo from Cuba and year after year just a few remain, USA and Israel.
If Cuba has a new vacine I would not share it at all. At least and somehow I would do everything possible to avoid USA and Israel to have it.
What the fuck is going on. Everyone saying, great..great...Cuba has found the Vacine, like they did a good to the world, what did the world for cuba.
