I mostly enjoy the plot of the hole serie. The fact that a "boring" chemisist becomes a producer of crystal-meth and a badass

i don't think its crossed the atlantic yet. basically, it's a really well written crime drama set in the American Southwest that's about choice, mortality, and ethics.

its pretty fantastic and this year its fifth and final season is going to be aired.

It is a brilliant show. The 3rd season was a bit of a disappointment in comparison to the other 3, it was still brilliant just lacked the "umpfh" of the other 3 probably something to do with the way Walter becomes powerless.

Still looking forward to the next one though.

Also every who hasn't watched it really needs to

    fourth season you mean.

and i disagree man, the fourth season is the biggest, most terrifying slow burn that i've ever seen.

one of the reasons i think that ultimately, well crafted tv shows surpass well crafted movies.

i like the fact that walter white is not the good guy. i like the fact that he is actually a shithead. i also like the fact that he isn't a bonehead, but a criminal mastermind. even if he is evil, i find the absolute loyalty he has to jessie interesting. its interesting how walt is a very sympathetic character, so one starts siding with him in like his marriage probs, his way of dealing with jane, etc, but if you think about it he is the bad guy in all those situations.

yeah, the comment earlier about Walter White being a badass is entirely the opposite conclusion i've come to. Walter White is kind of a pathetic, selfish, dick.

but you want to see him get out alive.

the show messes with you like that. until he got ptsd and then was shot up by the twins, i hated Hank. now, i'm rooting for him to corner Walt and end the show.

but i'm pretty sure Walt will toss Jesse to Hank, or have to choose between the two in this last season.

    plus, Albuquerque.

for real. one part that always sticks out in my mind is the tequila standoff with hank in season 2. and how walt smiled as his son puked into the pool. he enjoyed that shit. he liked that he had enough influence over his son to compel him to go too far. walt is not a good guy. but it's one of the reasons people find walt fascinating.

also jessie is an awesome character. truly tragic.

    p. sure pulling off the assassination of the biggest drug kingpin in the southwest via manipulating everyone around you is the opposite of 'powerless.' i think the point of the season is that he has perhaps finally met his match and how he resolves that, first by trying to escape his consequences and then by going for broke and truly becoming 'the one who knocks' or whatever (what a great fucking speech that is by the way)

I saw the first season of this on sale in an electronics store and bought it, it's a pretty good show from what I've seen (which is just the first season).
