Hello from Serbia!
Hello.
I am a Christian Socialist from Serbia. I am also a very strong Russophile,although i dislike Lenin and especially Stalin. I think that they went too far and killed too many innocent people and did not respect old traditions enough.
I'm strongly opposed to Western imperialism and in favor of national independence and freedom. I support Iran,Venezuela,Belarus and other from the "axis of evil".
I came here primarily because i noticed one thread i feel the need to comment on.

I agree.Extreme nationalism and chauvinism is horrible,as I have myself witnessed. As for the traditions,well,there are some bad and there are some good ones...i think that we would be better off in the future without all that violence Socialist movements did in the past...
BTW,Chetniks saved my family in the Knin area during WW2 from Croat murderers. Some of Chetnik leaders turned into renegades and even collaborated with the occupator,but many of them fought to protect the innocent people from fascist tyranny.

I have taken the nickname because it symbolizes the struggle against foreign occupier (as some may know,Serbia is a country occupied by Western imperialism since 2000 when Slobodan Milošević was couped by America,Germany and others and their domestic mercenaries) even though i personally disagree with some of the things Chetniks said or did in the history.Make no mistake,i do not identify with them,especially not with Arkan and such criminals,I took the nickname primarily for "poetic value",so to speak.
I am not advocating conservatism became in that case I'd be advocating for Capitalism and not Socialism,monarchy is a thing of the past and i'm proud of my nation and my people,what can i do.
As for the "ethnic cleansing" party,how come there are people with avatars of Stalin,Trotsky and etc.? Things are not black and white my friend...
He may just be young and confused. Seriously though, chetniks may have saved your family members. However they burned down my grandparents homes and ravaged their village, and did the same to countless other people. There is nothing righteous about that movement.
I don't think that one movement should be judged by someones personal experiences. For example my grandgrandfather was in Wehrmacht, some of his relatives in Waffen SS. They were really nice people. Hitler was a vegetarian. Still, their armies and organisations did what they did and we should judge them only from that position.
I don't give a fuck about young and confused people when they are tools of nationalist, clerical and conservative propaganda. Should I ask myself is some Nazi bonehead "young and confused" or should I smash his head? People should be responsible for their actions.
Smashing his head is fine and all, but if he is 14-15 he still has some time to learn and be educated more on the subject at hand. Smashing a childs head wont help us in any way.

I doubt that Trotsky and Lenin are held responsible for ethnic cleansing. Ethnic cleansing is disctruction of whole group of people just because of their nationality.
I agree that they should be responsible. But perhaps you are seeing the kid as something that he isn't.
For one, he's new to the left. He is a nationalist, but he isn't a bonehead. He isn't going off about Jews and immigrants, he just holds reactionary values. Just challenge his views and chances are he'll either change or leave. No need to smash his head in.

Nazis are not only boogeymans here. For example, Turkish nationalist who would support genocide of Armenians would be banned. It's same with someone who's supporting Chetniks and writing their nationalist crap. This movement is declared anti-fascists by Serbian government, still you can read a lot about them on Wikipedia and see why this can not be considered as left. Not even "leftism", which I personaly don't like.
I don't like Chetniks as much as I don't like Ustasha's or fascists. Especially, I hate those people who are supporting Slobodan Milošević as some kind of anti-imperialist "legend".
This part of the world is red from the blood spiled because of capitalism and its ideology - nationalism. Some shit needs to stop.
Also, by ignoring problems of such idiots (i.e. pro-milošević people) BA of this forum let that Zapadni Balkan subforum becomes dead, even it was really active, more that some boards here. I know that a lot of people don't wanna engage in conflicts, because they don't know a lot about history of this part of world, but too me as internationalist, there's no compromise with boureguisie, i.e. nationalist movements. Therefore I'll never take easy on people, no matter how old are they, who support butchers of working class.
All of us need to grow up one day and be responsible for our actions and word... why not now?
So far Soviechetnik has not said anything indicating he supports Milosovic. What he did say is that since his ousting Serbia is under western imperialist occupation. A statement which I also consider to be true...
This statement however does not necessarilly mean support for the ideology of Slobodan Milosovic.

Don't be a dick and read posts about "Albanian and Croat terrorists", about how Chetniks "are not that bad", about christian values (his new user name has word Orthodox in it) etc. This is what Milošević ideology is all about. I don't have to say that I'm a Nazi for you to get that if I write "Jews are parasites"....
