    Default Good Day Comrades!

[FONT=Times New Roman]I discovered the rationality of communism about three years ago, although at the time I did not know it was communism. Through a series of films and a movement that spawned from the films: The Zeitgeist Movement (and films of the same name). I have since then stopped particpating in that movement as they have come to leave the impression upon me that the bulk of them are compliant sheep who cannot think for themselves.

Comrades! It should be our first objective to enlighten the masses! To create a population of critical thinkers! People who can think for themselves so that we never again regress into tyranny! A population of leaders! Who do not accept the words of any single individual, regardless of his eloquence or social stature, without initial inquiry, without an abundance of skepticism.

My politico/socio/economic disposition could most accurately be summed up by the label of Anarcho-technocratic communism. A single global leaderless society driven foremost by the pursuit of the sciences and intellectual advancement (versus profit and material) established upon the tenants of communism--Wherein money does not exist to render corruption a possibility.

Although I believe that the only way we can dispose of money entirely is to automate the workforce--Which we could easily achieve in our current state. And the simple act of disposing of capitalism in its self would rid us of countless unnecessary occupations.Leaving us with a handful of jobs which people truly want to do and would do regardless of the money received and, in fact, would be to a great advantage for society if people committed these jobs without the presence of the monetary factor.

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to my involvement in this forum comrades! What I have read so far has already left a great impression!

Feel free to call me Ozy.

Welcome to RevLeft, Ozy! I also just joined.

Interesting that you used to be in the Zeitgeist Movement. I have a couple close friends who are very intelligent, very into politics, but they're Zeitgeisters and seemingly unable to escape from Alex Jones-style conspiracy theories.

I'm curious to know; how did you make the transition from Zeitgeist politics to Marxian socialism? Maybe there's something I can say to convince them.

Sorry friend, I doubt I can be of any great assistance, as I did not join the movement because of a common belief I held in conspiracy theories. If anything that was one of the primary reasons I had left.

Have you tried drawing clear and distinct comparisons between the movement and Anarcho-communism?

    Try explaining the following:

That the problems we face at this stage in our human social evolution spawns not from the forces of nature, whether within or without, but rather from social pressures and inadequacies. Understanding this much, we choose not to stand by as humanity continues to tumble down the rabbit hole of misery and despair, from which, should we fail to act in haste, there could very well be no return.

That fundamentally, followers of both enterprises (TZM and communism in general) understand that every human being, regardless of their social, racial, sexual or economic standing is equal, and upon no grounds should any one proclaim superiority over the other for any reason.

That we can ultimately identify three sources for the unnecessary suffering present in this world:

    1) Institutions of profit--The modern day empires; they who enslave the masses, and rape and pillage the sacred planet.
    2) Institutions of government-- Who have presented themselves as our saviors, as reflections of our desires but whose actions have made it abundantly clear over the years that they stand merely as puppets of the corporations.
    3) Institutions of religion-- Which hardly fulfill the spiritual functions intended upon conception, but, rather, over the centuries, have come to corrupt the minds of billions. Spreading not nearly as much love and tolerance as they supposedly preach in abundance within their texts, but rather antagonism through the doctrines that God feeds from the heathen's blood that drips off their blade.

Note that I have used the label of institutions, and thereby the institutions of religion are clear power structures which would be disestablished under anarcho-communism.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".
