Default Resources for Understanding Spanish Protests

I'm trying to wrap my head around the developments this year and trace the emergence and dissemination of certain protest strategies around the world. This past summer I was absolutely overrun with work and couldn't follow the Spanish youth movement as much as I should have. Now things have slowed down and I'm playing catch up. Do you know of any decent detailed overviews of what happened? The focus of so much of what I've read has been on the occupations in Madrid. I'd love to know more about the emergence of neighborhood councils, the extent of participation in them, what sorts of things they addressed and where they're at now. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    Depends. Can you speak Spanish?

Obviously I'm fairly biased source-wise, being a Left Communist.

A link to some texts by the ICC on the recent events in Spain - http://en.internationalism.org/taxonomy/term/658

Information on Portugal and Greece would also help, I think, as the Spaninsh events were pretty directly inspired by a massive demonstration in Portugal in March (I think), which in turn was inspired by the 'Arab Spring' and Spain and Greece have been fertilising each other all the way through.

There are more articles that might help you here -
