Destroying unions and minimizing their power is a blow to the power of working people. This hurts all members of the working class whether they are union workers or not. Under the capitalist system, wages and benefits for workers are always a race to the bottom. The capitalist class will always try to provide as little as possible for workers and pit them against each other in the form of competition for employment. With damage done to unions, it damages working class unity and leads to cuts in benefits and wages.

[Not really sure what you want here...anti-queer discrimination has gone on for thousands of years.]

Explain why this is an issue: (paragraph form)

[Ever since the founding of our nation people who identify as Gay,Lesbian,Bisexual,Transgender and other identities have been treated as second class citizens.Murder, discrimination, bullying, suicide and more all litter the landscape of our nation;when people who identify as "Queer" cannot even marry the individual they love it becomes starkly apparent that something is very wrong in our society.]

[My language covers such a great area you can easily attribute it to one of many sources.Off the top of my head you might try Stonewall:The Riots that Started the Gay Revolution and Queer America: A People's GLBT History of the United States.Any source will be fine though.]

Yeah...hmmm...for teh history part you might want to try and list important events within the queer world;events such as...the Stonewall Riots, first homosexual marriage and first nation to legalize homosexuality (see the soviet union for their contribution),Aids epidemic and how queers were targeted by bigots, and if you are feeling ambitious, perhaps make a quick bullet line with a sentence about how each society treated homosexuals and other queers? Remember that aboriginal (such as the Native Americans) have a rather rich history of inclusion.

The following link is hard to read but it may give you some inspiration on where to look: http://books.google.com/books?id=S58...Planet&f=false

I'll put in some contributions tomorrow if that's alright, I'm a bit busy right now and just about to go out so I can't do it just yet.

Just popping in to give you some good info for the capital punishment stuff:

    http://www.innocenceproject.org/

    http://www.innocencenetwork.org/members

The innocence projects exist to try and find people wrongfully convicted and exonerate them, especially using DNA analysis of evidence, and especially on death row inmates. I believe they have managed to free a scarily high number of people who were sentenced to death.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innocence_Project

The wikipedia article is a good starting point as well, as always, but just remember it's an encyclopedia so it's not for citing or sourcing, but you're just using it as a starting point, a jumping off point into other resources.

    I'll add more later.

Sorry for the delay, what's your deadline for this?

I was looking over the Experts thread found here:

    http://www.revleft.com/vb/revleft-ex...764/index.html

TC knows about US law, and might be able to help with the union busting legislation. Children of the Revolution (an admin!) knows about organising and might also be able to help out a bit.

You also might want to narrow down your LGBT rights topic a bit - i.e. what aspect are you focusing on? Gay marriage in the contemporary world? Also do you have any sort of word or page length on each section?

You could arrange all of those things under the title "Capitalism".

I would add Racism, media distortion, electoral system, etc.

I was going to do capitalism but that's way to broad and it pretty much covers everything else so I'd only do a fifth of my project haha
