If reincarnation exist, I know exactly where this woman is going in her next life.
I'm not sure whether to cry or to laugh, in any other country she would be laughed off set but idiots like this seem to garner a lot of support over there. It's just as well that she didn't ask for payouts to Iraqi families because it would run the country dry of money.
Well, at least she's always good for a laugh.
Put capitalism in a bag of rice.
It is TERRIFYING to know she has enough support to be elected to congress. I wouldn't let her have a say in a fucking first grade classroom. This woman needs to be medicated, statements such as these cannot be coming out of somebody in the right state of mind.
Thankfully she has no chance of being elected President. That's the only good thing about it.
Alright guys, get the pitchforks and torches and some rope.
It is not hard to guess who'll win a fight between ballots and bullets. - Alexander Berkman
I don't find it that funny that she acts as if the Iraqi people had anything to do with the Americans killed. I thought that America "voluntarily" went over there to "liberate" the Iraqi people. And of course the double standard is still there. With 1.4 million Iraqis dying at the hands of the American bourgeoisie. The law of the strong still stands.

How about America paying a million dollars for each of those dead Iraqis? Sounds a bit more fair.![]()
I think its funny that she is so out of touch with the real world that she would suggest this on national TV while she's trying to be elected president.
Put capitalism in a bag of rice.
Part of this might be her desperation to say anything to turn her plummeting poll numbers around.
But part of it too is that she really is just that stupid/crazy.

She's repeating a sentiment she made in the Republican Debate on October 17th in Las Vegas (more here), where she said the government of Iraq (as well as Afghanistan and Libya) should pay back the United States for 'freeing' them and bringing them 'democracy'. This was in response to a question about what the US should do about foreign funding to US allies, like Israel, which she countered by saying they could make up with it by demanding these payments.
She's putting it up again (as well as other plain stupid comments) in order to invigorate life back into an increasingly hopeless primary campaign.
This proposal was by extension something floated by members of Congress before. It's just pandering to their base though who're still buying into the glorified 'we brought freedom' mindset. Iraq's already been 'paying' the US back anyways, with the lucrative contracting in all aspects of Iraq's 'reconstruction'- from buying (expensive) American equipment for the military, spamming out infrastructure projects that are a hotbed of corruption, and essentially privatizing the oil supply. And that's with out considering all the human damage incurred by the occupation.
"We invaded your country, killed thousands and yet thousands, and installed a puppet government. Mainly for your oil. Now, pay us!"
A plankton?
Never say, you weren't warned
When they come to drag you away
To silence the dissident hiding in us all
They clench the fist of ordained might
From which side of the barbed wire
Do you want to see your life pass by?
I was more thinking something a bit more Karmatic Retribution, but a plankton is fine too.![]()
lol...and I want a socialist revolution to happen RIGHT NOW,but that isn't going to happen.
I wonder how these people become so divorced from reality.

Or a tapeworm in the belly of an Iraqi farm mule which got run over by an American tank. Now that would be Karmic retribution.

What an idiot. Did they ASK us to invade? How about making those who voted Republican (and those politicians who voted for the war) pay several million dollars for every IRAQI killed due to the war?

But she's not so far away from reality. I bet you that there are many Americans cheering this on, and many more afraid to shut her up as they could be accused of being unpatriotic. Its quite scary really.

While she certainly may be crazy, she is also indicative of a rising tide of those involved in American politics who aren't afraid of coming off as blantantly imperialistic and/or xenophobic, whereas previously such opinions were kept low key or wrapped in "democratic," "freedom loving" propaganda. That's what scares me the most...
