I just wanted to know, do you think its fair for a person, who comes from a working class family, to work hard all his life, trying to achieve his very best in school, to have his wealth taken away and to be made on equal terms with someone who is a burden in society and couldn't really give two s**ts about where they are going in life ?
Thanks.
No, that why we are against the capitalists who take away his wealth in the name of profit. Now as ZeroNowhere said, go away.
"[People] act like its some kind of rock solid homogeneous body of masculine oiled men with big hammers and flat caps standing outside factory gates chewing tobacco and muttering 'those damn petit-bourgeois students and their alienating camera-smashing, I sure love me some CCTV! Don't you, comrade stakhnov?'." - Ravachol
That right there is the type of mindset I, and members of Revleft, hate. It's a selfish mindset.
In the society we currently live in, people are taught less to care about their fellow man and actually help them, but to instead help themselves and let the rest die poor and downtrodden.
First of all, why would the current, American government "take away" the person's wealth? I was thinking more that what would make more since is for the government to tax that person heavily, rather than take away all their wealth, so as to help the less fortunate members of society.
What's wrong with that? It helps the less fortunate and the person who has the means to be wealthy can still keep their "hard earned wealth", while still giving up a large portion of it to benefit society.
So lemme guess, you either A) are a selfish, "hardworking" rich "leftist" who has nothing but contempt for the poor or B) have inheritance money form your folks.
Capitalism breeds this kind of talk. Actually go help the homeless or maybe participate in the Occupy movement and them come back and give this same argument. Let's see how it holds up than.
in case of revolution i doubt you'd have anything to actually lose if you're from a working class family... only to gain. everyone would be treated equally which would improve lives of most of people, especially the working class people. only privileged capitalistic scum shall fear revolution.
I believe in taking everything away from you (yes, specifically you) and giving it to someone like Donald Trump. That would be eminently fair.
OP you have to elaborate on what you mean, your post is very vague...

I would suggest, humbly, you try and get out more. If you enjoy judging other people so much, might you not consider a attaining a law degree. that way you could work your way through the British legal system and become a fully fledged judge with the full backing of Queen, parliament and a grateful people.
Accountancy degree!..Career in the revenue...computer skills an advantage. Chase all those hard working patriots who prefer to be 'overseas domicile' for tax purposes. Branson who is never seen without his union jack comes to mind! Talking of that rat...here is how some have a reacted to Branson's claim to be hard working and keeping all his entitlements....to the exclusion of others.......announcement in email from my union Rmt.....maybe these workers are invisible to you as they go to work at 11.0pm at night(long past your bedtime i I suspect) AND SCURRY HOME WHILST YOU ARE SAFELY TUCKED UP IN BED.
"The pay victory, announced two days before the cleaners were due to begin another 48 hours of strike action, will be phased in over the next 10 months but from this week staff will be 5% better off.
In the run up to the dispute RMT has recruited hundreds of new members and it is that strong and vibrant union organisation that has delivered a rock-solid 24 hour strike and industrial action including a refusal to empty on-train sewage tanks.
The deal means that since June 2010 RMT has moved the cleaner’s rate of pay from £5.80 to £7.12 per hour by September 2013, so as a result of over 3 years of campaigning and building the union we have achieved a 23% increase in our members pay.
RMT General Secretary Bob Crow said:
“It is solely down to the strength, solidarity and sheer courage of the Virgin West Coast Cleaners that we have been able to negotiate this 10% pay deal. We have moved the cleaning contractors, Carlisle, from a 1% offer to a 10% settlement and in the current climate that is a fantastic achievement.
“This 10% pay deal sends out a message to low paid workers everywhere that if you organise in a trade union, and are prepared to put up a fight that you can win.
“RMT is now stepping up campaigns for a fair deal for cleaners and catering staff across the transport industry and the model campaign on the West Coast Main Line cleaners will be rolled out to other companies with the clear message that we can win.”
JUST A GROUP OF WORKERS WHO "could(n't) really give two s**ts about where they are going in life.) ...Well they have not given up the ghost and meekly accepted a cardboard view of their existence. Despite the BRANSONS and the small minded put downs from fellow workers, who should know better.
I have a feeling that more collectivist leftists will have a much lower tolerance for those who don't contribute..
fixed.
Ignore all that talk about altruism, trust me the average working class person experiences no loss under the conversion to socialism in terms of "wealth" free time overall happiness. The only people who lose are those who do not work for their wealth, ie capitalists.
Well.
If your working class person, clances are you used public transport, went to a public school, went to a public hospital (outside the US), and had a neighborhood protected by firefighters and cops, and so on.
So yeah, but you should pay a lot less than Capitalists. Also what WEALTH would a working class person have where taxes are a real issue, the capitalist exploiting the worker is takin away much more of his "wealth" than the government.
Yo, rich ass mandemz best share their 60" LCD screens.
In all fairness, why the fuck should we care if we take it from them? It's not like they're going to think to themselves "Is it right I earn x5 than the lowest paid worker, whilst doing fuck all in this job" Same principle.
In a way.
Never say, you weren't warned
When they come to drag you away
To silence the dissident hiding in us all
They clench the fist of ordained might
From which side of the barbed wire
Do you want to see your life pass by?
i just want to know why you marxists are so mean to unicorns, another mythical figment of the capitalist imagination.
Because we hate unicorns. If we can't have horns on our heads and get virgins to sit naked under trees, then they shouldn't either. Naked virgins and horns for all! Down with the unicorn conspiracy!
That totally *is* in the Manifesto.

Did you ever stop and think that poor people are only considered a burden on society because they are poor and cant contribute to the rich pigs with top hats who control the system?
Reactionary idiots like you are the ones who are a burden on society. Poor people are only a burden on society because that's what you have your mind set on and you WANT them to be a burden. Because it they weren't a burden then there wouldn't be capitalism!
Ugh. I think I'm going to be fucking sick.
I wish these people would come up with something original. To answer the OP; Despite what people have been telling you; Socialists do not necessarily believe in equal renumeration irrespective of the difficulty or complexity of labor, or the amount of labor. I don't. Second; Socialists are generally only interested in reappropriating the means of production, because private ownership of the means of production is a form of theft. Your copy of Fletch, your copy of Punisher: War Journal #6, and the remote control to your TV, are absolutely yours, you don't have to worry about any of us taking it from you.

I believe in sharing the wealth.
Well working class can take from me few pairs of shows lol I would not mind at all.
From what I gather my families experience my fathers mother she used complained as well Stalin take everything, but reality she was not poor, she had plot of land to cultivate for herself. Well I don't see how we would starve if wealth share equal.
