A solar flare occurs when magnetic energy that has built up in the solar atmosphere is suddenly released. Radiation is emitted across virtually the entire electromagnetic spectrum , from radio waves at the long wavelength end, through optical emission to x-rays and gamma rays at the short wavelength end. The amount of energy released is the equivalent of millions of 100-megaton hydrogen bombs exploding at the same time

Oct 28th 2003 there was a large solar flare and Earth is in the spectrum. This is going to effect stalite television, Internet services, radio transmitions and cellular consversations, Oct 29 - Nov 2. If you notice anything wierd between these time periods write post it here. Or if you know anything more about some of the other effects it would be great too. Nasa was prety vauge in thier information.
This is the way it shal be.

Y'know that's funny because I could have sworn that I saw a faint glimpse of the northern lights last night around 1am.

yeah, they said the same thing about where i live (cincinnati) but I went out there and saw nothing. i think it was because of the air and light pollution, but interesting nonetheless. I guess its due to the extended proliferation of charge in the ionosphere? oh well..

yeah, me and rastafari are from cincinnati (he's actually from northern kentucky, but its all good). It does suck at times, since parts of it can be so conservative. Its got a long way to go, but who doesn't?
