One should never underestimate the power of propaganda and persuasion. Particularly when it comes to a government, who, amongst most people, has a huge amount of respect and perceived authority, and is therefore widely trusted. This trust makes governmental propaganda very easy, particularly in a system such as North Korea's, where there aren't even minutely dissenting voices within the State itself, to challenge the legitimacy and accuracy of the 'official' claims...

Remember, Internet just become global force and the government around the world is starting to make data throttling, making it more expensive, enacting laws that will allow police to spy on us, are bringing censorship on the Internet, will forbid or discriminate for snooping around something that isn't government approved.

After he restored eyesight to people they immediately went in front of pictures of their great leader and started to praise him. People do that for one of two reasons, or both 1) brainwashed 2) terrified what will happen if they don't.
