Default Interest in "communism" and "socialism" google search chart

Interesting, since Google is the most popular website on earth.

You can see the number of searches for "communism" since 2004 here:

    http://www.google.com/insights/searc...mmunism&cmpt=q

Falling steadily since 2004. Australia and the U.S. lead in searches.

    And for "socialism":

Pretty even, with a huge spike in the fourth quarter of 2008 when the crisis really broke out. The U.S., Sweden and the Philippines lead in searches.

So, communism have become more irrelevant in the owrlwide scene since 2004? Hardly. On the contrary maybe.

What are the top articles on communism that we see on the column? Mostly against communism.

Are the countries that are "hot", high on that list? With the exeption of India, no.

What should we do about it? Do the math.

Yea, it's probably also significant that the word "communism" is English, so this would only really track searches by English speakers.

    - Or -

Once you've looked into 'socialism' or 'communism' you don't have to do a search for it again...(!)

    Call it "market saturation"...!

My tinfoil hat may be showing, but I don't trust google's published data like this.
