"I'm anti-Republican and Democratic / if they self destruct that's anti-climactic"
I think under these situations it makes perfect sense for the state to take children away from their fucked up parents. It's interesting to note that it's not the poorest Indians who are doing this shit (they probably can't afford it). Another fact, my home state of Kerala is the only one where female infanticide pretty much doesn't happen and it's the only state were there are more females than males. This stuff happens more in the Hindi-belt and Punjab, a lot of it is cultural.
"Machinery in itself is a victory of man over the forces of nature, but in the hands of capital it makes man the slave of those forces" - Uncle Karl
Well, it's somewhat more civilised than actual female infanticide, but really to force a non-transgendered person to change sex is just as barbaric as denying the right of a really transgendered person to do the same.
Let's have more support for trans-women like me to restore the gender balance though!
More appreciation for women and the "feminine" is needed...![]()

My dad wanted a son... He was very disappointed when his only son came out as a woman.
I dreamt of a flower that was so beautiful that when it whithered away and died a tear left my eye. I saw our births, our lives and our deaths. I felt fire paint me with pain and I felt a kiss on my lips with a knife in my neck. Love to heartbreak to self-destruction to birth and to finally learning to frolic back into the same trap with a warm smile.

I have to call the bluff on this story. Sometimes surgery is performed on intersex children without their approval, usually in infancy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interse...cal_procedures). Of course the fact that this is often done when the genitalia present no medical problem is all kinds of messed up, and has a lot of intersex people pissed off. But this should be opposed on its own grounds, rather than sensationalizing the issue. The details of this story are off, from the cheap price given to the details of the surgery. Complete phalloplasty is very involved, expensive, and has pretty sub par results to the dismay of a lot of FTMs. It's not likely that it is being performed on infants.
Ah, so it isn't that this type of surgery is being performed on unambiguous females (extremely unlikely) but that there's no way of knowing that it isn't. Which is obviously the same thing. Typical daily mail![]()
