I have a Sharp GX20. My view of it is fairly good, in theory its the most expensive in therefore best phone around. But actually I have seen a number of things wrong. Does anyone have a Samsung V200, and if so what do they think of that? Do you think it looks better than the GX20, its marginally smaller

Its the only clam type phone that has video playback, it has a colour screen capable of displaying video and photos on the exterior (postage stamp sized) screen. That is pretty much the two advantages it has over the Samsung, and its better at texting and has longer battery life (two small things) and also a very good light. And a few other things like special effects on the photos.

But the Samsung seems to be able to process images faster, as in when you move the camera the image seems to be less blurred and respond faster than the Sharp GX20. This seems unusual when the GX20 is made for video playback and the V200 is not.

Also, I think the ringtone quality on the GX20 is worse, having heard the V200 recently it sounds clearer.

There are a lot of new video phones comint out now, although not clam-type that probably have superior video playback too.

Any opinions, anyone got a GX20 or V200 or another phone?

I have a cell phone, it's neccessary for what I do, but I have a question, how can we (socialists) justify having something so unneccessary as a phone with cameras, printers, coffee machines, or whatever shit they can cram on a phone these days? Isn't that kind of ridiculous, a phone with a camera built in ? I'd say a simple phone that works is fine.

I hate phone, I never "text" people, and I have a Nokia 3310, I would have kept my old brick if it hadn't broken.

I dislike the whole culture where friendships and relationships are made from one end of the building to the other with "texting" rather than speaking.

Phones piss me off. But I have to have one, because of the rather lame train service in this country, so if the train breaks down (not all that rare) I can ring home or school.

Cell phones are very necessary... except if you don't have friends!!! I've a little Philips Fisio 825. It's a really funny phone!!!

Don't own a mobile phone. Useless moronic gadgets.
Since, according to their fantasy, the relationships of men, all their doings, their chains and their limitations are products of their consciousness, the Young Hegelians logically put to men the moral postulate of exchanging their present consciousness for human, critical or egoistic consciousness, and thus of removing their limitations. This demand to change consciousness amounts to a demand to interpret reality in another way, i.e. to recognise it by means of another interpretation. The Young-Hegelian ideologists, in spite of their allegedly "world-shattering" statements, are the staunchest conservatives.
