This story is so disgusting on so many levels.
It reminds me of how racism is on the rise right now all over Europe and the UK. Couple of months back in some Scandinavian country a man started shooting immigrants, I think it was Sweden. We don't need to see more of this so we should battle really hard to put a stop to the victimisation of other ethnicities.
Back in England we have the EDL who say they are only against radical islam but at the same time target many communities. In Dudley they assaulted a Hindu temple, it was reported at Socialist Worker but other media kept quiet about it. Probably to not fuel even more extremism on every side, but I think it should all be in the open.

And it's all related in a way too. The capitalists are in crisis so they pit people against each-other as they force austerity on us, making our lives miserable. Either we fight together for something better or some people will accept that there's no alternative and fight eachother over crumbs. Add in some ruling-class scapegoating of immigrants, Roma, "entitled workers" and that's a situation in which this kind of shit thrives.

I agree with everything you say, Jim, but what do you mean with entitled workers?

I remember at school, reading about Nazi Germany, and how the nazi's used the crisis to demonise Jews so it is not anything new. I'm sure there are more examples of this?

Oh whenever the state government or even privite companies want to make cuts, suddenly there is all this talk on the radio and media about how "entitled" teachers are or how "entitled" city workers are etc.
