Default Need a Japanese language browser plugin.

I need to be able to include Japanese kanji in my emails so that when the recipient recieves the email, the content remains in Japanese rather than unintelligible code.

Does anyone know of a good plugin for firefox or IE that will serve this purpose?
Rep points for anyone to give good help.

What version of Windows are you using?
O, why should wrath be mute, and fury dumb?
I am no baby, I, that with base prayers
I should repent the evils I have done:
Ten thousand worse than ever yet I did
    Would I perform, if I might have my will;
If one good deed in all my life I did,
I do repent it from my very soul.

You need to enable (or install) it on your vista. I don't think you can do it independently on a web browser.

This guide should be of help.

That site also has links at the bottom about reading and writing in Japanese

I'm pretty sure that it lets you use kanji.

Meh It's much easier than all that. Go here. It has all the language packs you'll never need.

Ah I think I may know what it is. That site was for IE 8 which isn't being used on Vista and Win7 anymore. Are you using IE 9 yet? (Right click your IE icon, click properties and then check the version tab if your'e unsure.) Supposedly, Japanese is one of the languages native to it... In other words, you don't need a separate language pack. Trying going Start>All Applications>Windows Update if you don't already have it. A browser window should open to the Windows Update site and you can DL it from there.

Sorry, I wasn't quite current on the latest version number... I've been using Firefox pretty much exclusively for years now.

I'm using IE 9. Using IE, I tried emailing the Japanese for 'this is a test' to my own account.

Instead of これはテストです。This is what i recieved:

    ‚±‚ê‚̓eƒXƒg‚Å‚·B

Are you aware of any solution that might work for firefox? I am really eager for a solution now, this problem is a real pain in the neck.

Sort of. There's a Japanese version of Firefox 4.0.1 that you can DL here. The trouble with that is that it's "localized," which means all your menus and shit will be in Japanese. There were add-ons for previous English versions, though, and FF 4 only just got rolled out in Feb IIRC so I suspect there will be a Japanese add-on released sometime soon.

The thing is, given that Japanese is supposed to be native to your browser, I'm starting to think it may have more to do with your actual e-mail provider... Who's your address through?

As an aside, a good way to figure out whether you've got a browser or e-mail problem might be by trying to get it to work with Firefox. If you can send/receive the characters correctly with it, then it's something to do with IE. If not, it could likely be the e-mail provider itself.

EDIT: I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. What you could try as a temporary workaround is DLing the Japanese version of Firefox and then see if you can find an English language pack...
