Leila Khaled polisanmäldes för terrorism av sina motståndare i Sverige när hon kom till Stockholm. "- Ockupation är terrorism" blev Leila Khaleds svar i hennes tal 1 maj 2011 vid Röd Frontmötet på Sergelstorg, arrangerat av KP/RKU. Leila Khaled är medlem i PFLP, Folkfronten för Palestinas befrielse, där hon ingår i politbyrån. Dessutom är Leila Khaled invald i Palestinian National Council, Palestinas parlament.
