gee, makes you wonder what mainstream America would define as 'fucking up' if his present apocalyptic activities don't satisfy the test.
It cannot but be supportive, socialist, communist or whatever you want to call it. Does nature, and the human species with it, have much time left to survive in the absence of such change? Very little time. Who will be the builders of that new world? The

Hmmm odd how it's easier for someone like G.W. to be elected president than a African American, Woman, or even a Jew that actually have strong leadership skills, are charesmatic, highly intelegent, etc etc... The thought of a two term Bush presidentcy is quite a frightening thought.

But also to point out... Bush sr. had an aproval rating of over 90% after the gulf war... and still lost to Bill C.

And if the war on Afghanistan is prolonged and we start to see our soldgers comming home in body bags he will be more like LBJ.... (Linden Bains Johnson)....... remember the chant.. "LBJ how many babys did you kill today?"

Thats right RedCeltic, the Bush Dynasty set the precedent for [email protected] up situations like this one. On a side note, I honestly don't believe the situation in Afghanistan will deteriorate to that level. Unlike Vietnam we have a clear goal, although unstated, it is apparent we would like to depose the Taliban. Unlike Vietnam the US population realizes that this is not some far off country that has nothing to do with us, but that our actual homes and lives on the continental United States are in danger. And Unlike Vietnam you have very little in terms of political restrictions, our soldiers once inside(if that becomes the case) will not have to stop at some parallel.

Wow... I actualy agree with you... how odd... I only ment that just because he's popular now, doesn't mean he will win an election that is still some time away.

And, I also doubt that the situation will end up like another Vietnam. I only ment that if the tide of the war does shift, which is unlikely... it will affect Bush's popularity.

i have to agree with red celtic and augusto. if the war goes on too long, cuases too many american deaths and too much economic turmouil then gw is screwed. the only reason he has so much support right now (btw something like 92% IS HIS APPROVAL RATING RIGHT NOW) (sorry caps lock got hit there) is because he is feeding off people's anger. eventually that anger will die

You know... I always question 'pre pol' statistics where they take a cross section of people... and use statistics to figure out how most of America will vote if an election was held that day. This doesn't take into account that any given population of humans are going to have an unpredicatable variations of beliefs and experiences. Not to mention that statictical anyless can be manipulated to say what ever you want it to say anyway... Pre election polls are typicly very false and inarcurate.
