Homework/assignment help
I think it would be cool if we could be a resource for comrade students on this board who have questions for their school work/papers etc... Thankfully I'm done with that nonsense (well, at least until I need another degree) but maybe we could give pointers to folks still going through the rigamarole? Maybe there's a way to promote/centralize this?

I agree Marx, good idea. Given that 'online classes' have never taken off and we have moved all study groups to the forum proper (after having abolished the subforum), perhaps it would be more appropriate to rename this subforum to something like:
"Research & Academia" Or something like that in order to let people know they can come here for help with research, paper writing, referencing, etc.

Yeah I agree online classes are dead. "Research and School"? Are secondary schools for example considered part of academia? Or comrades going back to schooling beyond higher education.

What sort of homework? Are we talking maths here or something that could be dealt with on other forums? For example, its pretty common for people to ask homework related questions regarding history or communism in History and Learning respectively

Good points raised. I think its fair for people to ask homework related questions etc in their appropriate forums, and I wouldn't want to tread into murky territory. I want the role of this board to remain clearly defined.
So I think if we're going to expand our role a bit we need to make sure that it does stay clearly defined. I think we could lend assistance with less "homeworky" stuff, but rather help with paper writing, how to do research, etc. I think Marx you are correct to leave it at highschool as the limit - anything before that would be going back too far and would drop us down a few notches so lets just leave it at that for now. A bit more discussion of these ideas and I can put up a preliminary poll just to see what people approve of and do not approve of.

As ComradeOm already noted, more general homework type questions are usually asked in their relevant forums and can probably stay this way. But Yazman, I like your suggestion of utilizing this board for help with research. Possible topics such as finding sources, identifying good sources, format (Turabian, MLA, etc.), etc.
Also, what about using this a place to share our research, essays, etc.? A while back I could have swore we had something like an essay or article forum. I know I would probably have a few essays and papers I would be willing to share.
