Same here. My parents always got mad at me for not finishing my food. Now that I'm in college away from them, I find myself finishing the plate, no matter how full I get.Eating everything on your plate is a rule I hated but now end up doing without meaning to and it really bugs me when people throw away food or leave a tiny amount of food on their plate - I don't care how full you are, if it's less than a mouthful you can fit it in
I used to be one of those loud open mouth chewers. But chewing with my mouth open is actually a part of my culture. It means that you're enjoying the food. elbows off the table, forks on the left, knives on the right, sit up straight, that sort of thing that I follow religiously to this day. I can't eat at a fast food place without so much as having a napkin on my lap!
