Apologies if this has already been aired... but WTF?
The English Defence League have started a Jewish section:
http://4international.wordpress.com/...ewish-section/
These English Jews should remind themselves what their fellow Jews suffered half a century ago, the last time a bunch of white Nazi's decided to create a "Jewish section":

"Events have their own logic, even when human beings do not." - Rosa Luxemburg
"There are decades when nothing happens; and there are weeks when decades happen." - Lenin
Their logic kind of remind me of the anti-germans.
Palestine = Muslims = Bad
Muslims hate Israel = Jews = Good
I knew they had some Jewish support shit even the BNP have Jewish supporters even with Nick Griffen denying the holocaust. I scanned the article but didn't see many details about this Jewish section. Perhaps they want to keep Jews away from their anti-semetic supporters.
You have to bear in mind though, that anti semitism is no longer the 'flavour of the hour' amongst the modern far right and that muslims ARE the 'new jews'.
Here in Northern Ireland in Unionist areas, there is a similar fascination for Zionism. As well as a reaction to the display of Palestinian flags on nationalist streets, this phenomenon has biblical links ie. 'the lost tribes of Israel'. I have noticed they even end this article with 'No surrender' which is a slogan coined by loyalist paramilitaries.
I genuinely do not believe that the EDL represents the same tendency of fascism as the BNP or NF, the main focus of their attention is religious and faux victimisation complex of the horrors of the 'evil terrorists'. If you visit bona fide nazi forums such as Stormfront the EDL is largely ostracised and reviled as 'traitors'. Their bigotry is more on a par with the sectarianism of Ulster loyalists and the Orange Order. Given Englands status as the seat of British lutherianism it is not difficult to see why this fascination for Israel and zionism has flourished, including amongst groups such as the EDL.

'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' etc.
like Mindbender said, the target has mostly changed amongst the far-right in the UK. When's the last time an antisemitic act by a fascist group got anywhere near as much publicity as groups like the EDL and BNP get with their "stand against Islamism".

It should be said that the Union of Jewish Students has put together the 'Not in our name' campaign. One need only scroll down to see the wide range of organisations in support. Other groups have also taken a stand. Jewdas, along with a number of other groups, recently took part in a counter-demo against an EDL demo outside the Israeli embassy here in London, intended to show support for the Israeli state. Needless to say we didn't want their support, and we continue to shun them, as a community. I have personally never even seen any evidence of this Jewish Section even existing, but if it does, I'm sure that, numerically-speaking, it is a pathetically small group, when compared to the much larger numbers of Jews who actively oppose them, through initiatives such as Not in our name...
Jewish people are just like any other community you have good and bad, right and left-wing Jews.
Given that Malanie Phillips wrote Londonistan, you'll have to forgive me for thinking that certain Jewish people may well take the EDL at their word and be duped into believing that they are simply opposing radical Islam and therefore lend them their support.

SMASH THE FASH!
no self-respecting jewish person shd support the EDL when they have been endlessly exposed as having BNP and fascist connections. see this on the jewish division.

happy new year!
yeah, you are right Malatesta, but some of them do- being fascist after all is not limited to white Christians. And as somebody mentioned, these days its Muslims playing the role of a "new Jews" so its not that surprising that fascist movement such as EDL that is all the time trying to deny they have Nazis in their ranks, can atract right wing Zionist nutters. I personally though wonder how they can wave Israeli flags at demos and at THE SAME demo have sieg hailing afterwards. These people are seriously confused and seems like good prescription for them would be nice kick in the head![]()
The head of the EDLs Jewish devision has already been given a platform by Channel 4:

EDL fall out with the Jewish section
SPLITTERS
http://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/45...-too-extreme-0
I was about to post that one up!Particular interest should of course be paid to Vancier's claims at the end: "There are elements in the EDL who desperately want to be accepted by the leftwing establishment and the media." Ain't that the truth...I don't feel they're having a great deal of success with it, but they're trying, that's for sure!

I think Vancier is wrong, the EDL are trying to make themselves acceptable to poor whites above all, not the left wing establishment or media. And things like burning the swastika with a few black people prominantly placed among the crowd could work in their favour. Most people are not familiar with the ideological contours of fascism, and are likely to fall for such a thing.
