a debate between eírígí, sinn féin, brian hanley labour historian and dissident republican anthony mcintyre. i recommend downloading and adjusting the levels with some free software like audacity as it's very quiet otherwise. a cwi member makes a point near the end and there is also a loyalist bomb scare halfway through.

Was pretty poor debate in my estimation. eirigi spent a lot of time talking about SF, what SF spoke about wasn't socialism, McIntyre was his typical self and Hanley did well enough trying to analyse some issues. A very good crowd in attendance I believe pity those speaking didn't do the event justice, with Hanley the exception IMO.
i agree, the gurning between the various ex and current provos is tiring. it was organised by some belfast irsp in fact and there were plenty of younger people looking to ask questions but only older heads got a chance. and yes, hanley is brilliant if fairly defeatist.
