65,000 lain off last week and expected to reach 100,000
30,000 to be lain off from Bowing's production lines.
And $24 billion of tax payers money going to bail out airline companies!
The govt. says that it's their patriotic duty to help out the failing aircraft industry. Why is it not the patriotic duty of the bosses to save the jobs of thousands of workers?
Let's face it... these opertunistic corprate heads sezed the moment to blame already planned massive lay offs on the terrorists! It's no mystery. Midway airlines clamed bankrupcy only a month ago, a few had aready said they where planning on backrupcy and lay offs.
Worker's across the United States pay for this bail out with their taxes... so why aren't jobs being secured with it?
Oh sure... there's unemployment... yea you can live off of $45 a week... and try to find a job now when your skills are related to an industry that's cutting back.
I suppose there's always the miltery right?
The point is that Republicans and Democrats have shown just where their priorities lie. Democrats lie to the American worker and say the will fight for them but when the chips are down who are they backing? The companies just like their buddies the Republican CEO bootlickers.
Now more than ever America needs a strong third party that will fight for the working class. Where are the unions that side with the Democrats and endorse their candidates? America has suffered under these fake labor unions and fake polititians for way too long. They'll spend all this money on yet another fuckin' war... thousands of dollars with every bomb and missile... yet not one red cent for the tousands they laid off.

More desperate people who may resort to becoming Bush's footsoldiers, literally. How convenient for the administration.
It cannot but be supportive, socialist, communist or whatever you want to call it. Does nature, and the human species with it, have much time left to survive in the absence of such change? Very little time. Who will be the builders of that new world? The
I'm with ya, RedCeltic.
There can be no doubt whatsoever that the US gov't sides with capital over labor. We pay for the S&L bailout. We pay for the airline bailout. We pay for MASSIVE corporate welfare. In return, we get shat upon by the riluing elite. This, my friends, is the way of capitalism. These are the social relations of capitalism. Take from the needy and give to the greedy, so they say.

Economists have provided capitalists with a comforting concept called the "free market." It does not describe any part of reality, at any place or time. It's a mantra conveniently invoked when it is proposed that government do something the faithful don't like, and just as conveniently ignored whenever they want government to do something for them.
" the handwriting is on all the bilboards of the universe" said Eugine V. Debs.... and looking at this situation... it's as plain as day! You think people will wake up? Well why didn't they wake up when this happened before? Or before that? or before that? In fact... the United States has been fooling it's own workers from it's conception. It's time the American Worker woke up and realized that the enemy isn't in Afghanistan but in Washington DC ! It all starts to remind me of something by the Dead Kennedies;
" The companies got together and decided that it's time for another war, the president? He loves the idea... all those missiles streeming to and fro... people running down the road skin of fire....get rid of some of this excess population.... " Well I don't remember exactly how it went... but it pritty much sums it up.
