I've just seen the news that approximately 3000 (according to the service I watched) citizens of New York protested against the US government's declaration of war. Whilst supporting bringing the terrorists to justice, those citizens rejected war as the solution. Those citizens have perhaps one of the most persuasive and important voices at the moment - let's hope they gain active support in NYC and all over the world. I know I will do my part.

Yea... NYC has a long history of being a leftist community, and against war. Unfortunatly I live on Long Island, which Is nice and I love, but full of conservitives... in fact it's the most conservitive part of NY state! Anyway, it was only a matter of time till the clowed of this disaster disipated and my fellow leftists of NY... (be they libral or whatever) protested the US militerization

Do keep in mind that New York is one of the most libral cities, while much of the nation in conservitive. Although yea it's good news... maybe the left will get it's act together.

Wonderful news RedCeltic - every person expressing anti-war sentiment no doubt represents countless others who are not so vocal.

Yes true Chancho... There are more people who have been expressing their concerns that we are taking the wrong action in this. In fact I was in an historic Geology class today and when we started to talk about the origins of fossel fuels the proffessor went off on a tangent for about half an hour talking out against US getting involved in yet another war for oil.
