Teachers Andrés Martínez; Edgar Soriano; Luís Sosa and Carlos Anariva were captured and tortured, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office opened a legal suit against them for exercising their right to peaceful protest.

Unknown actors threatened to kill Mr. Heliodoro Cáceres, member of the National Popular Resistance Front in Tela, Atlántida, for his efforts in search of his son Oslin Càceres Obando who was disappeared on June 13 minutes after informing his family that he was surrounded by police.

Murder of journalist Israel Zelaya, who prior to being murdered had suffered threats for his opposition to the coup.

Murder by stabbing of leader in the teachers movement and active member of the FNRP, Luís Antonio Hernández, in Sinuapa, Ocotepeque.

Because the clintons were friendly with the coup government in Honduras, the US wont say much about this now that a new government is in place.

Anyone else remember when the coup government minister of foreign affairs called Obama a "little black boy" and casually referred to him as 'ignorant (as in all blacks are ignorant)' and denegrated him along with gay people, native americans, socialist and prostitutes?

Of course, that could also be an ochestrated attempt by Obama's handlers to keep his ass covered. As long as it looks like there isn't complete public friendliness, then it wouldn't matter if Obama is unwilling to stand up for basic human decency in Latin America.

If Obama isn't heartless, then he is a coward.

Don't put the US support of the coup on anyone's lap but Obama's. His purpose was to science the left which bulked up during the Bush administration. He has served his purpose well.
