Thread: What is the capacity of the UN in times of war

    That's my question. I was reading a thread about the Un here recently, so I am assuming someone may know this.

    The UN is a toothless tiger - it passes resolutions and treaties that only have as much force as the member states will accede to. In times of war the UN would merely observe for incidences of human rights abuse and attempt to negotiate with involved parties for resolutions of peace - which are irrelevant if they are not adhered to.
