i'm draft proof, since i'm not a citizen of this great nation (please note sarcasm), but for those unlucky enough to be one, how will you deal with the draft, my dad says that the best way to deal with the draft is to get rid of the need for it, just like vietnam we should hold anti-war protest, war is the worst thing you could do, since whoever did this, did this to retaliate on the U.S.'s previous for it's previous attacks, by the way drop kick murphy's rules.

Im british and if it comes to a draft then i will most certainly dodge it. The loss of life in America was tragic but i can not deny that I understand the potential reasoning behind the attack. Therefore I would not be willing to risk my life to fight somehting that I do not truely dissapprove off. Dont not get me wrong, the amount of people that died was sickening and i feel get sorrow for them and the family members that they have left behind but it was the only way that these people could have their voice heard.

filimarxist you are most definately right, if it comes to this (which i hope doesn't happen because if it does then we have entered world war 3) then the best way to deal with it is with demonstration.

    Peace

I've searved 4 years in the US Navy... so I'm not worried. I'm out of the IR too so they can't call me up. If they did though... my specalty is plumbing so I still wouldn't be too conserned.

Bullshit. If they call me out for the draft I'll act like Malcolm X. I'll go in to see the interviewer close the door sit down. After a while I'll start acting funny...looking around suspiciously...then get up... peep under the door and anxiously ask the interviewer," Hey daddyo when y'all gonna give me some guns to go out and kill the crackers?"

i think that the victims (who number in the hundreds of thousands from all over the world now don't forget) of this atrocity deserve justice. but that is something quite apart from war. a nice big show trial, maybe a few executions is much more rational than all out war. president bush is officially the biggest fuck-wit on the planet for committing "his" already suffering people to what could be an historic catastrophe. history will justify and reward all pacifists and i trust history more than any vengeful god or politician.

    The Draft:
    or
what to do in case of conscription into the armed forces.

before you are enlisted you must pass a medical test to prove you are medically fit for duty.
according to my friend the dutchman, this worked for him,
    you will need:
    a packet of cigarettes.
remove the foil stuff from inside
rip up 6 or 7 small squares and roll them onto little balls,
swallow then five minutes apart from each other before your due to take your medical,,
when they x-ray you, god knows what they think is wrong with you but it should get you declared unfit.
    problem solved.
( this is an old trick though and they might be on to this)

    that accidentally hangs itself

I wonder what the US would do if the reinstated the draft. In the '70s they didn't test for drugs, but if found you used them they just punnished you... take a stripe away or something. Then they came out with the Zero Tollerance pollicy which means they would test everyone comming in and not let you in if you tested positive for drugs. And if in and tested positive in random screenings you would be kicked out. So if they had a draft all you need to do is smoke a joint. Otherwise they have to remove the screening. I know there where guys getting sent home all the time in peacetime when I was in just for testing positive on drug tests. I can't imagine them doing that in a war you would have whole divisions going home for smoking weed.

good point cpk... It's mostly in the interest of the people that one goes and joins up. Although for me... I joined the Navy because I had no direction, wanted to learn a trade, and see the world... (and it was peacetime.)
