I just heard that Pakistan anounced to Afghanistan to expect an invasion of massive force if they do not turn over Bin Laden in three days.

I heard something like that about half an hour ago but they didn't talk about invasion as much.

I'm all for the retrieval of Bin Laden who is supposedly behind Tuesday's terrorist attacks but I don't really see the need for Pakistan to become involved in such a way. I think that Bush has received enough money from Coingress to be able to find Bin Laden and his group without launching attacks on Afghanistan that would kill thousands of civilians. I don't see the logic behind Pakistan's move to intervene and threaten an invasion of their own.

Looking at it from Pakistan's point of view... The United States placed sanctions on them when they wanted to build Nuclear warheads. And, their economy is very poor.. so in exchange for allegence they expect a removal of sanctions and the US to help buld their economy.

I'm concerned. From reports I've heard, Islamic militants in Pakistan have warned President Gen. Pervez Musharraf not to do this. Pakistan is a nuclear power now, and a civil war in that country could lead to a very unstable situation. Perhaps the US has pledged military support to Musharraf, I don't know.

This is very troubling to me.

I think Pakistan is one of the few countries that recognises the Taliban government. So preasure from Pakistan on them could make them hand him over.

moskitto you are correct that pakistand is one of a few that recognizes the taliban. and i was very shocked when i found out the steps that pakistan is taking. i think there is some value in redceltics statements regarding the sanctions us placed on them. perhaps this is just another way that the US is circumventing things so that once again they won't be directly blamed (although there will be some of us that are aware of their true responsibility) for any war that may ensue between pakistan and afghanistan.

Pakistan is having a boarder dispute about Cashmere with India. That's one of the main reasons the US has been sanctioning them. If Pakistan helps the US I suppose the US will look the other way in their boarder war, and stop supporting India as much.

Also want to point out that the Brittish Empire was very clever in using other people to do their fighting. I think the US may be trying something simmilar.

Clever as the british were in using others to their fighting,, it back-fired terribly in the indian mutiny of1857,,

also, which country trained Bin Laden, anyone know?

The country that trained Bin Laden was none other than ...

the good ol' US of A - in its actions against the Soviets.
It cannot but be supportive, socialist, communist or whatever you want to call it. Does nature, and the human species with it, have much time left to survive in the absence of such change? Very little time. Who will be the builders of that new world? The

Yea... I wasn't saying the US didn't use the tactics either... suppose they should have learned from history eh? Actualy Rome also did the same thing.... and by the time of the fall of the empire the Roman army was made up of mostly non Romans. A sign of a true empire I suppose, and just proves how imperialistic the US govt. is.

first of all as i have bin away i would like to expresse me condolences to red celtic and all N.Y`s and americans for what happened.

However i do understand why ppl would want to strike at the USA as do we all.The iresponsibel foregin affairs policy of washinton with all the injusties they comite through out the world along with the (and this is the principal reason for islamic hate for US) suport of criminal TERROSRIST opcupation of palestine by Isreali state. We must not forget the apatchi helicopters and fighters Isreal uses on unarmed civilians come from the US, nore can we forget that if it wasnt for the backing of the US the arabs would unit and eliminate this abscess in the arab world.
The atack is wrong as it targets civilians and the coran states that to kill civilians in the name of jihad is wrong

To the matter pretaning to the US retaliations, i think if they move without presenting credible evidance, if they invade a contry, if they persicute and possibly assasinate Hussama bin laden without presenting cerdible evidance i say they are aslo criminal and TERRORIST.
In fact the Tablian, word that means shcolar, have sayed that if the united states presentes cerdible evidance the shall hand over Hussama because , and i shall repeat it, because to kill inocente civilian populaces in the name of islamic jihad is contredictory to the principales of islam. One thing these shcolares of theology will not do is hand him over because of threats and ultimatos. These men do not fear death and are ready to face any situation, they know the terrain and they are highly motived. If the united states wishs to resolve this in a wise and proper manner it should presente the proof for all to see and demand the extradiction of the implicated parties. What it should not do is make a war that will hurt ppl that allready suffer from the conflict in afganistan just to restore there shattered pride or for simple revenge that is not worthy of the nation that claims apone it self the moral grounds of being the light, i dare say this is not a battle of light vs darkness.

unfortunatly i have as mutch faith that presidente Bush will reslove this in a conviniente manner as i have admiration for his oratory skills

to all the americans that are just simple inocente ppl that are not directly responsible for the crimes there goverment has commited my truely fealt condolences.

exactly, el_che... how can they bomb afghanistan while their law says everyone is innocent until proven guilty... till now, no proof whatsoever...

on another note, i'm really happy that u and moskitto have actually read the quran (or some portion of it at least) before u talked about it or accused it...
