Cuba condemns terror against the US
Cuba is condemning yeserdays terror attacks against the USA. Foreign Minister Felipe Pérez Roque informed the press that Cuba’s historical position is to "totally condemn and reject terrorism wherever it comes from and against whoever it is perpetrated." and "Our people have had to suffer 40 years of acts of terrorism, so we know the consequences of this type of action," emphasized Pérez Roque.
Fidel described the attacks as a disaster and said that he felt mourning and pain with the American people.
CHE-LIVES.COM endorses to that. To all who are call themself as leftists/socialists/communists while supporting this mass murder: Fuck you! You are not my comrades.

"The proletariat, when it seizes power [...] should and must at once undertake socialist measures in the most energetic, unyielding and unhesitant fashion, in other words, exercise a dictatorship, but a dictatorship of the CLASS, not of a party or of a clique -- dictatorship of the class, that means in the broadest possible form on the basis of the most active, unlimited participation of the mass of the people, of unlimited democracy." - Rosa Luxemburg

    Cuba condemns attack

I agree with what you say about about terrorism and this clearly is a terrorist attack and saddly many innocent working class people died. However, to let this incident pass without commenting on past American governments involvenment in terrorism, either directly of inderictly is wrong. I would qualify any condolence with a mention of gross hypocracy (which is implied in the official line from Cuba, let us not forget, Cuba has no option but to comply with Americas new policy or face the wrath of the "Woken Giant" ). One issue here is the fact that it is American citzens who died and we are expected to feel 'solidarity' with their loss, but when peoples of the 3rd World are slaughtered at the hands of western democracy we are told that this is justified. The propaganda machine is in full flight and the left need to everything possible to counter what is already turning into a rightwing backlash. We have been told that this is an attack on 'civilisation' and here in Britain, in America too, mobs of thugs are attacking innocent moslems and moques. The entire capitalist system is based on the destruction of civilisations which do not if the mould. Bin Laden and many Muslem fundamentalist movements owe much of their success to the backing of the US during the late Cold War years. It is well known that the CIA handed out weaponary to the Islamists during the civil war in Afghanistan. The death of innocents is always regretable but let us not forget the conditions that created this terrible tradgedy.

i know, it was really upsetting what happend to the wtc and pentagon and all the people who died. but i almost feel bad BECAUSE i feel bad, when you have people in 3rd world countries live with this stuff everyday, i did alot of work on Sierra Leone and those people live and deal in such horrible conditions, being mutilated, mass murdered and other unimginable atrocities, and i couldnt imagine living like that. us Americans dont really have a concept of what it is like to have to live with that. and its not just poverty ridden places like sierra leone, i have a friend who lives in Israel and she says shes so sick of not being allowed to go outside because of what may happen. in america we are so not used to things happening like this, when people around the world live like this everyday. and im not saying my deepest condolences dont go out to all the families and friends of people who were lost in the wtc and pentagon and plabe that crshed, it just sometimes makes you think........

This incedent has also caused airlines to lay of hundereds of workers... they just anounced today that practicly all US airlines are expecting to lay off many workers and American Airlines is expected to go bankrupt. Just another reason this attack has hurt American workers.

you think this is the first war the bush administration has become involved in/started? what about the drugs wars or the sending of arms shipments to taiwan? they were lucky they started this new war and brought about solidarity in the west beause for a time bush wasn't very welcome even in the countries of his european allies after rejecting kyoto and being excluded from how many un commissions?

Much more is being said by the Cuban Government and is available on CubaWeb.
I noticed that nothing previous is being said about the genocide perpetrated on the Pasestinian People by the State of Israel...This reminds me when I asked years ago where were all the voices speaking out when the Genocide was taking place in Cambodia.
The policies of the World in reguards to the Palestinian People have created many problems in the world.
I myself do not understand the Religious Islamic connection between what is taking place and what is taking place in Palestine. I do see the results.
Although condemning the acts of terrorism perpetrated on the United States, I remember Malcom X when asked about the assassination of President Kennedy said, ".....it is a case of the chickens coming home to roost".
Our catering to Israel at the expense of the Pasestinian People is a path that must be re-examined.
People fighting for thier rights sometimes becomes a War with all the death and destruction that accompanies a war.
In Afghanistan at this moment innocent people are being killed whoes life expectancy for men is 46 years and women 45 years. A country with a literacy rate of 31%. What will this death and destruction accomplish? I have a quote "Only when there is peace in Palestine, will there be peace in the world".
Although paramount in the media and our thoughts at this moment, there are many battles to fight and win and many enslaved people through out the World who need to be educated and set free from oppressive Governments and Ideas.
There is not just "One Struggle", but many to win.

Now what does Cuba say about the TERRORIST atacks against the Afeghanistan thats happenning right now?
My point of view is this: Cuba is afraid of losing agains, so they will just stand at a clean position, so they wont be even more fucked by the embargo than they already are

whoa buddy. I have not yet ran into any comrade that had displayed any support for this attack. But what we need to do is not let our emotions get the best of us by seeking revenge on innocent people who had no say in said attacks; right?

The world thinks the Members of Islam are responsible for the attacks, Lie! In 1947 a terrorist regime took over a land called British Palestine, who cared! Look into the lies that this inbred, racist community has told. These peopled suffered NO losses during any of the SO CALLED terror attacks. I am not leftwing NOR rightwing, just seeking more answers the the lies that have been told to the world for too many years.VIVA CHE.

Whole lot of Capitalists were killed in that Sept. 11 bombing.

Castro's first response was "America should calm down"

After Cuba was listed on the U.S.'s list of terroristic sponsered states - Castro sure did change that Anti-American tone quickly.

I have never seen Fidel Castro so Pro-American.

    What is the deal!

Are you Communists for Capitilistic, Imperlistic, America or NOT?

    For America?

    Exactly what does that mean?

I'm for the "American" worker, if that's what you mean. What, exactly, is "America," capitalist. Define this vague concept for us ignorant minds.

    vox (sez kill ugly nationalism)

PS--anyone else get the feeling that this one is going to be too easy?
Economists have provided capitalists with a comforting concept called the "free market." It does not describe any part of reality, at any place or time. It's a mantra conveniently invoked when it is proposed that government do something the faithful don't like, and just as conveniently ignored whenever they want government to do something for them.
