What is going on? I can't get into any news websites- they're all jammed. I'm stuck at work with no tv or radio. I figured this would be a hot topic around here. Anyone have any news?

I support the Arabs, anarchists or whoever they are 100%. The chickens have come home to roost. They have a lot of balls to do what they've done. If all of us were like them we could change the world.

i think that as a committed socialist and pacifist that i cannot condone todays terrorist attacks even though i have secretly been praying for them for so long. we shouldn't be so quick to praise the perpetrators, after all what exactly have they achieved?
my heart goes out to the hundreds of victims of this terrible tragedy; it was not their war and noone had the right to sacrifice them in the name of any cause foreign to them. it could have been anyone we know in those buildings or on those planes or even ourselves, and i don't know any socialists who would sacrifice themselves in such a way. even the taliban has expressed their sympathies.
the journalist's have chosen as their prime suspect the democratic front for the liberation of palestine. we should all be familiar with this marxist organisation who have claimed responsibility and then contradicted themselves. i for one am hoping that it wasn't them for the corporate media will surely use it as an excuse to discredit all marxist organisations.
this act has only served to harden the american institutions and inflame american nationalism. are these the results good socialists should be seeking?

I'll not tolerate any support for this cowardly attack on tens of thousands of inoccents. No human with a brain can support the bastards who did that.
    Myrmidon, you are banned.

Palestins have the right to fight for their freedom. I would like to say that Bush has been a coward and so he gets kicked in the balls. So G8 and Bush have lost a fight. The war for freedom has begon!!!!

Fucking yuppies in this site suck corporate cock.

I had a feeling this might happen (my banishment from this site) so I've taken measures beforehand to ensure that my views are not censored. Do you think, Malte, that the Arabs are reacting toward nothing. This has been years in the making. From the U.S.-planned coup of the Prime Minister of Iran in the 1950s (that placed a puppet who signed away all their oil to the corporations at below bargain prices and established a secret police that used measures of torture to subdue the Iranian people) to their current support of Israel in the Palestinian crisis.

I hope they paralyze this fucking capitalist system. Those that were at the World Trade Center Buildings should have known better than to work for the criminal capitalists.

People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest.

Great move, Malte. Me too, I laughed with a friend of mine at first. But I do think that no ideology whatsoever is worth of a human life, were they american capitalistneoliberalistimperialistscum or not. Or 10 000 human lives. Just sick. Most ironically, the strike does no good to arabs or whoever did it. Ipso facto, violence leads to violence. Who knows, could this be a start to eg WWIII.

"Those that were at the World Trade Center Buildings should have known better than to work for the criminal capitalists."

EXCUSE ME!? How could they have known better? These people had LIVES and needed those jobs. You can't expect people to throw that all away in seconds...

And whether the US "had it coming" or not, the fact is that about 10,000 people have DIED. Many of them jumping from the SKYSCRAPERS to prevent from being burnt to death.

    NO ONE deserves that.

fuck that shit it is a worthy cuase but this was no means the way to go about it what kind of an idiot can condone a situation like this violence is always the last measure i agree with the cuase if the cuase was to destroy one of the most cappitalist structures in the world that is if not they did it anyway my only worry is what kind of retaliation the u.s will take when it find out whos responsible. i am a pacifist and feel human life is the most important part of all my believes what is the use of being dead and im sorry but how can employees who are just meeting there basic needs by working there what kind of animal are you. freedom not death

this is nickademus working from a computer at my university

as i discussed earlier with malte, this is disgusting. nothing and i mean nothing justifies taking so many innocent lives. i`m not saying that who ever did this isn`t fighting for a good cause but there are other ways of going about this. there is a huge difference in fighting against the military and the militia as che did and what these cowards did. and don`t get me wrong, i am an advocate of revolution but this isn`t revolution, this is cowardice.

who ever did this has lost any sympathy from me.

< and don`t get me wrong, i am an advocate of revolution but this isn`t revolution, this is cowardice. >

This is the most daring act of the age.

Expect more reprisals from the Arab nationalists and a lot of cheering from the Palestinians who at this minute are widely triumphant.

What does this act tell you? That the U.S. intelligence apparatus has much to be desired. Or that the Airlines knew about the threat (I read somewhere that Bin Laden had warned something big was going to happen)
but did nothing about it because it would cost them money. How the hell these people managed to highjack all these planes is beyond belief. Think for a change.

And I wouldn't want to be your comerade, Mr. Pebbles you yuppie son-of-a-*****. Someone here laughed about a scene in the movie Fight Club when those kids blew up some skyscrapers. Well here it is just like in Fight Club. You build them we'll
raze them. Hasta la victoria siempre!

I don't support capitalism but these attacks were sick. If it was anti-capitalists all it's done is damage our support for a true global revolution, Wait till the world is ready before striking.

I live 7 blocks from the carnage that occured in Manhattan this morning. It's a war zone here. It looks like a nuclear bomb has hit. The World Trade Centers are demolished and the debris is strewn blocks and blocks deep. Buildings next to it are burning to the ground and collapsing. People are covered in smut, bleeding and laying on stretchers in the streets waiting for emergency vehicles and air lifts and available spaces in hospitals.

Nickademus, you're right. This was not an act of revolution. It's an act of cowardice. The World Trade Center's also a tourist landmark. The bottom level are stores, shops, cafes, restaurants. I can guarantee that not just New Yorkers or American citizens were killed today but we will see when they are finished with the body count a lot of foreign tourists will be among the dead. Whoever was behind this, bin Laden or whoever, it was just a sick act of selfishness that is beyond any justification.

    <walk softly and carry a big stick>

You are one sick fuck, *****! Quoting the imperialist president Theodore Roosevelt; or at least the quote he made famous since it was an African proverb. But sick nonetheless. Well here I go again. I've been banned three times so I'm crossing my fingers.

I hate to say this but the events which unfolded today are only a prelude to what's to come. Expect atom bombs, biological warfare, etc.
