Probaganda in research material.

As a long time geek I have spent quite a bit of time at the library with my head in a book. I have noticed that quite a few times when I was trying to prove my point either in a paper or an argument I could not rely on the dictionary nor the encyclopeda.

Yesterday, I was killing time and looked up Socialism and Communism in several dictionaries... all of them where old printed before the fall of the Berlin wall and all of them had a simular tone... " a falable system, a system that doesn't work... etc.." And then last night leaving a bar my brother and I decided to stop in a software shop where I purchased a pre-opened package for $5... It was Compton's Encyclopendea 2000 deluxe. ( I mostly buy propened stuff as it's usualy purchased by someone who copied it and then returned it) Call me cheep or poor... whatever... That's a diffrent subject anyway ( I also shop at the salvatiion army)

Anyway... I looked up Communism... just playing around with the thing... and I was infuriated with the openiing lines I can't quote exactly but it said something like. " The opening lines of Karl Marx's Communist manifesto reads, ' There is a specture haunting Europe.... it is the Specture of Communism' today it should probobly be changed to there is a specture haunting Communism it is the Specture of Capitalism" If you believe what the writer is sayiing or not is not the issue... the writer it writing for an encyclopedia, yet is incorperating pesonal belief into the definition of something that he/she doesn't believe in. Therefore I conclude that this encyclopedia is wrong.. full of shit... and t least it was only $5 and came with a free sample of CDR indexed Natiionl Geographic which is worth more about that price for one issue.

Ok.. Ok.. forgive me for not for not being able to spell and for having so many type 'O's I realized I messed up on the title... and can't fix it... just have to live with that...
