Die Linke a leftist party but heterogeneous and not a communist or revolutionary party. Generally it's anti-capitalist but the Marxists are in the minority. There are many factions within the party, many overlap: old SED members who still can't get over the end of the GDR and seek to get their old positions back, the so-called "realos" (from Realpolitik, they are mainly out for posts), left Keynesians, reformists, left social democrats disappointed by the SPD and more.
