Default south african inventor makes anti-rape device

    Today in Appropriate Penis Mutilation

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Tue, Jun 22, 2010 at 2:34 PM

According to Gizmodo, an inventor in South Africa has come up with a product that should put quite a damper on the nation's raping industry. It's a condom… worn by a woman… that has sharp razors inside... that tears the fuck out of any penis that tries to rape her. INTRIGUED? Read on...
The inventor, Dr Sonnet Ehlers, was inspired to create the painful condom after she met a woman who'd been raped. The woman apparently told Ehlers "if only I had teeth down there," which encouraged her to look at ways to make men regret their actions. Women fearful of being raped can insert the Rape-Axe condom inside themselves like a diaphragm or tampon. If her worst fears come true, and a man attempts to rape her, the Rape-Axe's inside hooks attach themselves to the penis and don't come off, instead getting even tighter and stopping the man from being able to urinate. The only way to remove it is by seeing a doctor—which will obviously help with prosecution.
    WOW. I mean...

i assume any women actually raped while wearing this will probably end up with her brain smashed in but the mere story of this being around will do a fair bit of stopping at least some rapes from happening....

Wow. To be honest, if you had your shlong caught in a razor-lined condom, you wouldn't be thinking about smashing heads. You'd be fucking passing out.

    And then dead pretty quickly.

I'm not entirely sure what to think of this. And the name is ridiculous.

I actually remember seeing a thread on this topic on here before in the "similar threads" at the bottom of some other thread. I clicked on it and read for like three minutes and then had to stop because the responses were so nauseating.

So this isn't new? Why is the "similar thread" from 5 years ago? Hmm.

Anyways, I was watching a youtube video about this and all the comments were similar to psycho's - "Women will just get killed."

I think the benefits of making men think twice before trying to rape someone will outweigh the risk of a man fighting through the pain of having his cock hooked by barbs in order to kill the woman who did so.

i was about to say it was an old new but i think it is new. another device was called the vaginal bear trap, it actually only gave some pain. some complained that it might be modified to severely hurt the person raping another.

this sounds like a new device because it forces people to see a doctor. kinda neat. but yeah, it will probably cause more violence toward the person suffering the assault. also, i am not a woman but can any of them seriously imagine walking with such a thing down there?

if you attack a posh shop like Starbucks, the poor people wouldn't care. Some of them would actually like it because you make rich kids frown. They actually get more pissed off if you do those peaceful, long marches that cause traffic jams because they all use public transport. -thomasludd

Two problems with this that I can think of.

    1) It's only effective if a woman actually goes around wearing it all the time, because it's not like she can predict when she might be raped. It also seems to just be placing the weight of responsibility further on women, as they have to change their behavior, instead of placing the blame on patriarchy.

    2) Women are statistically more likely to be raped by men they know, rather than total strangers (date rape, incest, etc) or in other words, when a woman is assumedly more likely to have her guard down and not be "prepared."

true but A. this is south africa and i have an hunch that the dogma voiced in your point 2 might be not as true there as it is in europe/northamerica.
radnom gang rape and corrective rape of lesbians are huge problems over there.
and B. ofcourse patriarchy is to blame but so is it in europe and i know an ton of girls over here that carry mace to prevent rape. i would like to see you going up to them and tell them "it's only effective if a woman actually goes around wearing it all the time, because it's not like she can predict when she might be raped. I don't see why not. Women walk around with tampons in all the time, and honestly as long as it's in correctly you can't even feel it. As long as this device wasn't too big, it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Hell, if it really worked, I'd wear one if I had to go somewhere/with someone violent and I felt unsafe in the situation

I'd just use pepper spray or a glass bottle. And I no longer drink if the situation is sketchy or if there is a significant enough chance that it may become more sketchy. I always carry an empty half-pint empty glass bottle in my purse at all times and remain aware of my soroundings these days.
I dreamt of a flower that was so beautiful that when it whithered away and died a tear left my eye. I saw our births, our lives and our deaths. I felt fire paint me with pain and I felt a kiss on my lips with a knife in my neck. Love to heartbreak to self-destruction to birth and to finally learning to frolic back into the same trap with a warm smile.
