Default "Please allow me to introduce myself..."

Howdy. I'm NGNM85 and I like long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners for two..
    Just kiddin'.
I'm from Massachusetts, in the 'burbs just a short spell from the city. I'm a college student and an underpaid, overworked clerk. I guess you could say I sort of an "Anarchist-without-adjectives" I really don't see much of a need to pigeonhole myself into a specific bracket. I've been into Anarchism since I was in high school, I started with Emma Goldman, now my primary philosophical influence is Noam Chomsky, however I'm familiar with all the usual suspects, Bakunin, Kropotkin, Bookchin, Proudhon, Godwin, Berkman, Rocker, etc. I've also taken inspiration from a number of other sources, Marx, Nietzsche, and literature like "Farenheit 451", "1984", "Fight Club", etc. My other interests include but are not limited to; punk rock, alternative music, pop culture, comics, movies, science fiction, and I've recently been getting into Transhumanism and integrating it into my worldview.

Out of curiosity, how do you feel about the situations in Greece and Nepal?

I strongly support liberation and human rights struggles worldwide; Palestine, Tibet, etc., however I haven't been following these issues very closely. From what I've heard I'm sympathetic to the Nepalese, however I don't really feel qualified to make strong informed statement. I haven't been following the situation in Greece, beyond that there's huge economic turmoil. Recently, I've mostly been focused on this environmental catastrophe in the gulf.

It looks like you're well read
Are you also active? Are there any groups in your area? How do you look towards activism?

Thanks! Umm, I have participated in activism in the past. Unfortunately, for reasons I won't get into, I haven't been able to get out and participate much, although I'd very much like to. Right now it's pretty much just online activism, petitions, letter campaigns, and voting.
