    Default A non-socialist Anti-Capitalist reading list

I thought I would write an Anti-Capitalist reading list for liberals, progressives, social democrats or anyone who has reservations about capitalism (with a view to radicalising them) but who finds the prospect of anything explicitly "socialist" or "Marxist" too daunting to begin with.

    • Parecon: Life After Capitalism by Michael Albert

    • A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn
    • Fences and Windows: Dispatches from the Front Lines of the Globalization Debate by Naomi Klein
    • No Logo by Naomi Klein
    • Capitalism and Its Economics: A Critical History by Douglas Dowd
    • Understanding Capitalism: Critical Analysis from Karl Marx to Amartya Sen by Douglas Dowd
    • A Brief History of Neoliberalism by David Harvey
    • The Enigma of Capital by David Harvey

Capitalism and Schizophrenia by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari.
A lot of poststructuralist works criticize capitalism while not being overtly "socialist" (though it's authors more often than not, are).
EDIT: Also Anticapitalism and Culture by Jeremy Gilbert. It's a good summary of the new left movements and it illustrates the convergence of the left and cultural studies discourse very well.
