Does anyone know much about them? They are apparently a union of sex workers, in the UK affiliated to GMB.
I have no idea how big they are or what they get up to, although I just read quite a damning critique of them here; http://autonomousradicalfeminists.wo...king-the-left/

That's hardly a damning critique. All they bang on about is the same old mantra of "porstitution isn't work" which ignores two fundamentals:
1) it fucking is.
2) IUSW goes far beyond sex work
"We are a branch of the GMB Union established specifically for workers from the sex and adult entertainment industry, whether you work as an escort, in a massage parlour, a private flat, on the street, a shop selling adult videos, behind or in front of the camera making adult entertainment, a strip club or from home doing phone sex. You can join anonymously, regardless of immigration or taxation status"
I have hosted talks with IUSW for their position of campaigning for the decriminalization of prostitution.
IUSW have an amazing record of cross liberation campaigns, fighting against government attacks on consensual BDSM practises, working with asylum seekers and has it's own LGBTQ sex-work section.
Unionising a section of the workforce, otherwise completely ignored is something all revolutionaries should support.

Cheers for that.
What about this bit; 'The IUSW does not distinguish between workers and managers. It identifies owners, controllers and punters equally as sex workers and encourages their membership.'
Do you know how true this is?

Leaving aside for a moment the question of unions and the AF's views of them, while of course some prostitutes are workers in that they are paid a wage, many of them are self employed.
Plumbers are in a similar situation, would you support a self-employed plumbers union?
More to the point would you support one that encouraged the boss of those who were workers to join?

Thanks. Well articulated critique of the sex workers' rights movement.
I'm not really defending that critique. I just want to know about the workers/mangers bit.
