Default NPA disappointment in regional French elections

The NPA failed to clear the 5% figure it hoped to achieve in the regional French elections.

Unlike its downright sectarianism in the Euro elections, I fully understand its stance against any form of cozying up to the Socialists, whether directly or indirectly through le Front de gauche of Monsieur Jean-Luc Melenchon.

    Thoughts?
"A new centrist project does not have to repeat these mistakes. Nobody in this topic is advocating a carbon copy of the Second International (which again was only partly centrist)." (Tjis, class-struggle anarchist)

"A centrist strategy is based on patience, and building a movement or party or party-movement through deploying various instruments, which I think should include: workplace organising, housing struggles [...] and social services [...] and a range of other activities such as sports and culture. These are recruitment and retention tools that allow for a platform for political education." (Tim Cornelis, left-communist)

why bother with elections in the first place? HST couldn't do it in the 70's in Aspen, and he had a huge campaign and a receptive audience. elections are the ruling classes favourite political game, and just playing forces one into the middle ground. shouldn't our power be on the streets and in the workplaces?

As Lenin explained, you can forget bourgeois parliament only when you are ready to substitute it with workers' soviet. Are you ready to shut down french parliament by force with some hundreds of thousands of armed proletarians? If you are not, as unfortunately I guess, you have to participate in the election.
    patiently explain (Lenin)
