+ Very cheap housing, free health care, free education, racial equality by law, elimination of illiteracy.

- Development of heavy industry, aviation industry and other high-tech of that time.
- Elimination of illiteracy.
- Electrification!
- Development of collective farming system, mechanization of agriculture.
- Civilization of towns, developing social infrastructure within collective farming.
- Development of nuclear technologies for power plants.
- Development of basis, needed for up-to-come space program.
One that doesn't get mentioned a lot, but I think is worth pointing out is the successful vaccination programme in rural areas. It doesn't sound very exciting, but it is actually very difficult to make sure everybody gets vaccinated when they are scattered throughout such a large area. Managing to vaccinate virtually everyone was quite an accomplishment.
