I hadn't thought much of the Tax refund proposed by G.W. Bush... I suppose I had tought that even he would find that the money could be better spent elcewhere (like helthcare reforms) one day last week I happened to catch "Talk Back Live" on CNN. They where talking about the Tax refund and many people where talking about how they where going to spend it.. pour it back into the crippled economy. One call in guest said that her tax refund was only $150 and her son's was only $50... and that both of them where going to donate their refunds to the Democratic Party so that they may get her money for her perscription drugs.

While this woman is misguided in thinking the Democrats are ever going to have a chance to reform America's medical system that trives on charging outragous money for the basic human right of getting well, it got me thinking...

What will you do with this refund, provided you live in the U.S. ... I have outstanding student loans so I don't expect anything anyway. But what do you think you will do with it? What do you think Bush should be doing with it etc...

You know many people in the U.S. have to choose between paying for their medication, or food. I know it wasn't very long ago I had to choose between putting gas in my car or paying rent. Many of us who live below the poverty line have no choice in what to do with the money. Yet it is a short term solution to a long term problem. If you can afford to... wouldn't you want to set that money to work against Bush?

I also don't make enough to get a refund. They're giving the money to the people who don't need it, and many of those who do don't get anything. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The next time some rich person talks about how we shouldn't give 'handouts' to poor people, I'm going to talk about the real handout, this "tax refund."

There's a good point and reminds me of something... When the rich talk about ending welfare and say we shouldn't give hand outs etc... and we are just enabling them to live on the govt. and be lazy, the are only talking about welfare for the poor. Companies also get a govt. welfare... that's right... if a company is strugling they can get grants from the government... this aid helps boost the economy. So these fat cats have govt. wrapped around their fingers so tight that even when they loose they win.

Ralph Nader! Savior of US electoral politics, domestic and foreign policy, passenger vehicle safety AND the greenhouse effect. Savior to the world!

A toast to Ralph Nader and his redundant, reformist recycled pop-garbage. And a special toast to his conservative gerrymandering pupils who can't tell the difference between revolution and a compost heap of shit.

...Nader is a good guy, don't knock him. Stale Thread alert!!
You can call me an idiot as much as you want, but we both know I am not. I've out-debated countless commie pukes in my years here, and you would be well advised to shut your mouth less you be out-done by my logic as so many others have.

Hey I remember old myrmidon of Che from a good while back. Damn it's been several years but I remember he was banned for supporting the 9-11 terrorist attacks. I was on-line that day and the attacks weren't two hours old and myrmidon of Che and several others said yeah they supported the terrorist attacks. Well they all got banned.
