Anyways, there's also the fact that men sometimes rip their foreskin during sex.
Only if they're doing something horrifically wrong.

It's a bit less hygienic and makes you a bit more prone to damage if you don't get it done.
So you damage your penis in order to prevent it being damaged? That's insane. It's like bashing in your new car with a sledgehammer in case you crash it.

Plus, it's a really, really stupid issue to get all worked up over. I mean seriously.
It's not a huge issue to me because no demented parody of a medical professional ever saw fit to slice up my genitals. For the most part it's a non-issue to me because a cricumcision I went through would be voluntary (unless of course I ever had to be under anaesthetic near some of those whackjob surgeons in america that do it to you regardless of what procedure you're actually undergoing) but a lot of people aren't so lucky having been mutilated either before they were able to give informed consent or, as paranthetically mentioned above, whilst simply unable to make an informed choice.

Fuck circumcision and the horse it rode in on.
Sciences & Environment rocks my bedroom.

I feel totally satisfied in saying 'who gives a fuck?' A decent amount of people don't even circumcise their children due to religious beliefs anymore. They do it for physical reasons. I'm circumcised and frankly, I'm glad I was. I really don't think anyone who was circumcised really looks back in anguish at what happened to them a day or so after they were born. It really isn't a big deal.
    Seconding this.

Causing unnecessary pain to a child isn't desirable. That being said, it's also not a "big deal" that it happened, to me and others. I would say it shouldn't be done now, though. There is just not significant enough evidence either way. And in the absence of compelling evidence, how about making not cutting people the default position?

The idea of being uncircumcised does seem weird to me. But I've always known my little guy the way he is. If my friend came up to me with a new hair cut, I'd be a little put off too. I think it's appealing to think "the way we are is best." So people circumscribed like me might want to believe it's better. I'd say there is no big difference either way, and you've already had the procedure. Don't worry, be happy.

I think we are essentially trying to debate who's dick is medically superior here. Everyone wants the answer to be their own.
